New bench home, and parents.

Jen's P.O.V

"Pat? I want to adopt a child." I said
"Ok. We can go tomorrow to the orphanage." Pat said
"YAY!" I screamed as I went online to orphanage.com and I saw a girl named Emily I really liked and I told Pat. Later that day we went out for lunch at Starbucks right across the street was a park. As we got our stuff I asked if we could sit by the window because I really like the look of the park. Pat said yes. After we finished eating we went to the park to walk on the trail that goes around the park. When we got tired we sat on the bench and people started coming up and started to ask for autographs and pictures and that took at least 20 minutes. But it finally ended and then we started walking again.

Harper's P.O.V ( sorry for doing her so much)

After leaving last night I went to the park and fell asleep under a park bench. I forgot my blanket and pillow so it was a hard night. I brought $20.25 with me to have food and a drink for however long I would be here. I hid my things and began to walk on the trail.

~Time skip done walking trail(10minutes)~

When I sat down on my bench I saw some people walk by, they looked exactly like Pat and Jen but I knew it wasn't them. So, I got up a lay down under my bench and fell asleep.

Pat's P.O.V.

As we were walking in the park I saw a little girl sitting on a bench, eyes wide . She had brown hair brown eyes and kind of looked like Jen. She had scratches on her face and was dirty . I saw her climb off of the bench and crawl under it and fell asleep.
"Did you see that little girl, Jen?" I asked her
"No. What little girl?" She asked me
"She looked like you sort of and seemed to be about 5. I saw her fall asleep under a bench and she was scratched up and dirty." I told her. All of a sudden Jen stopped and looked at me.
"Pat?" She said as she grabbed my arm. "I think that is meant to be our daughter."
"Ok." I said as I turned around and said, "Let's go get her."

Jen's P.O.V.

"Let's go get her." Pat said. As we walked back to the bench, I couldn't hold it in anymore (no, she doesn't have to go to the bathroom) I started to run back to the bench that she was on. When I got there she was eating a granola bar. She looks up at me and then looks back down quickly.
"Hi. What's your name?" I asked her.
"Harper." She said quietly .
"That's a pretty name. I'm Jen and this is Pat." I said as Pat finally caught up.
"Jen , you left me!" He said.
"Pat, this is Harper." I said
"Hi." She muttered. "I love to watch your videos!"
Her eyes were all red and puffy like she'd been crying. She got down and pulled out a backpack out of a bush and took out a picture. Her eyes began to tear up.
"What's wrong?" Pat asked her.
"I miss my friend, Maddie!" She said as she burst into tears. I wrapped her into a hug.
"Do you want to come home with us? And live there?" Pat asked her. She nodded.
"Pat, go get a few wet paper towels . Then we will go and get her stuff from the orphanage when you get back."

~time skip to the orphanage~ Pats P.O.V.

When we walked back into the orphanage Mrs. Johnson hugged her.
"We're here to get her stuff."I said.
"Ok. She'll show you her room while you fill out the papers." Mrs. Johnson said as Jen and Harper went up the stairs. When they got back I noticed that all she had was a little backpack, it was the same one she had at the park but you could tell there was more stuff inside of it.
We got into the car and asked some questions: (P means pat J means Jen and H means Harper)
J- What is your favorite color?
H-Pink and black.
P-Do you have a favorite pet?
H- Um a cat or dog.
J-Do you have any siblings ?
H- In the note that was left with me I have a brother that just turned 22.
P-Why did you have to go to the orphanage?
H-My parents left me in a box in an alley, and I'm pretty sure in the note it said that my Dad ......... um, he killed my mom and almost me and my brother.
Her voice started to shake when she said that.
