Is it really you?

Pats P.O.V.

Downstairs we heard a window break.
"Get in the closet now!" I say grabbing a metal bat we got Harper for softball.
"Be carful, Pat. I love you!" Jen says.
I give Jen and Harper a hug and a kiss each. As I walk into the hallway I hear Harper start crying, but thankfully it wasn't loud. The last thing I want is for them to get hurt. When I got to the broken window, I see a man.( picture.) He wasn't old, he was probably in his twenties.
"I'm so sorry, sir. But can I ask you a question?" The man asked.
"Sure." I said still holding the bat ready.
"Do you know a 5 year old girl named Harper and her middle name is Grace?" He asked. My stomach dropped to my feet. Should I lie? No. Even if I told him he won't be able to take her away from me.
"Yes, I do." I finally say.
"Great. Do you know where she is?" He asked.
"Yes. I'll be right back." I run to Harper's room. I brought Harper and Jen to the man.

Harper's P.O.V.

I see a man. He looks like some one I know. But I still hold on to mommy tight.
"Harper!? It's me Henry. Ya know? Your brother?" He said. "I've been looking all over for you. I've bought a house big enough for the both of us. Go pack your things." Henry says.
"No." I say quietly.
"What did you say?" Henry asked me.
"No."I say loudly.
"Would you rather stay with your actual brother or these random people who pretend to love you?"
"Them." I say loud and clear.
"Why."
"Well, first of all they don't go breaking into people's houses. The second thing is that I know how they act. For all I know you could lock me in a room with nothing to eat or drink. And three is that they don't pretend to love me, I know they do." I finish.
"Fine! I see how it is. But you'll be mine soon. Very soon." He yells and leaves.

Jen's P.O.V.

Ugh! I can't believe that her so called brother tried to take our baby away from us.
"Do you want to sleep with us, Harper?" Pat asked. She nods. Harper was asleep in the bed.
"If Henry lays one finger on her , I swear I will kill him!" Pat says harshly.
"I know. I still can't believe that he tried to take her away. But that was the most I've heard her talk."I said.
"Yeah. Well, we should sleep; we still have to take her to the special place tomorrow." He said as he fell asleep. Soon I fell asleep too.

What will happen with Henry and Harper? Will Pat really kill him if he tries to take Harper again? Don't sweat it, you'll find out soon. This  chapter was a little shorter. Bye 😉
