"I'm just going for a walk in the woods. Go stir up some trouble, I suppose." Dipper shrugged as he pick up his journal that rested by his feet.
"Can I come with?" Bill asked as he took a step towards him.
"Can I trust that you won't try to kill me?" Dipper asked with a completely serious face which Bill a shiver and some goosebumps on his upper arms and chest.
"Of course you can. I've changed." He responded quietly.
"Says who?" Dipper inquired suspiciously.
"Mabel." Bill shrugged.
"That's good enough for me." He dismissed and began walking. After a few feet, he noticed that Bill wasn't following him.
"You coming or are you having second thoughts?" He laughed. Bill just smiled, shook his head and followed behind him. Once they were in the woods, Bill had started walking a little closer to Dipper and staying within a five foot radius. It was only when Bill started gripping onto his arm and hands did he turn to him.
"Are you afraid of the forest?" Dipper asked as he looked into Bill's seemingly golden eyes. They shone with a couple of mixed emotions, but one of the most recognizable ones was embarrassment.
"I wouldn't say afraid, Pine Tree." Bill looked anywhere but at Dipper himself. "Let's just leave it at a traumatic experience."
"If you say so." He dropped the subject, but stopped walking when he saw something that set his heart into his stomach. He saw that there was a monster-looking creature gasping for breath and two smaller ones pressed up against the creature itself. Dipper took another cautious step forward while Bill stayed back in a defense mode. Dipper held back the unshed tears that built up behind his waterline as long as he could and crouched down to the creatures before petting the babies fur-like feathers.
