I woke up the next morning to the sun shining through he small cracks in my shades. My alarm hadn't gone off yet but when I looked at the clock it was only three minutes earlier so I rolled out of bed anyway. I went into the bathroom and started getting ready. I looked out the window and checked my phone. The weather app said it was supposed to be really nice today so I walked over to my closet. I picked out my muscle shirt that was aqua blue and said on the front 'Take me to the Beach' surrounded by palm trees. I then pulled on my white shorts as well as my off white vans and I was ready for the day.

When I looked over to the clock I still had about twenty minutes so I decided I would put on a thin layer of makeup. I gathered all my eye products and began my work. Within the next ten minutes my eyes were shiny and popping out from behind the mascara. I smiled, pleased with my handiwork, and walked downstairs. I still had about five minutes until I needed to be out for the bus so I started skimming through the history project and brainstorming.

We still had about four parts left of the project and we had two weeks to get it done. Also, I was going to try to convince Peter to let us record our presentation so we didn't have to do it live in class. I am not good with public speaking so I know I would mess everything up.

I gathered my stuff and headed outside. I sat there playing on my phone and texting Jennie until she finally came outside. She took one glance at me and smirked. "So, what's with the makeup? Trying to impress your man?" she teased me. I rolled my eyes and shook my head at her.

"For your information, I happened to have some extra time this morning so I decided to put on some makeup. And plus I don't even think we are doing anything tonight." I told her. She laughed at me anyways and the bus pulled up. Jack got on before me, mumbling a quiet hello. I said hi back and then quickly made my way to my seat.

"You don't have to be doing something tonight to look good for him in school. I'm sure he will notice." She laughed with a wink. I just rolled my eyes and grabbed my headphones out of my bag and plugged them in to my phone.

"Okay well you are delusional and I am going to tune you out now." I joked holding up my headphones for Jennie to see. She scoffed at me but didn't make any more comments. I gladly slipped my ear-buds in and began to listen to my music. Before I knew it we were parked at school and getting off the bus. I kept in my headphones and went straight to my locker. I didn't feel like paying attention to all the conversations of the hallways right now.

When I finally got to my locker I put in the combo and opened up the big metal door. I grabbed my books and just as I went to shut it again I felt a hand on my shoulder. I jumped about a mile high and quickly turned to see who had startled me as I ripped the ear-buds out of my ears.

"Oh god. It's just you." I said catching my breath, "you scared the crap out of me." I continued while clutching my beating heart under my hand. Peter laughed and shook his head.

"Sorry, I called your name like three times and I thought you were ignoring me." He defended. I laughed at his reasoning.

"Well sorry, I had my music on obviously. Anyways, what did you need." I asked curiously. He shrugged as we walked through the halls.
