*** The Next Morning ***

I woke up going through the same boring routine. I guess I was going a lot faster then usual though since I had about twenty minutes extra time this morning. I sighed thinking of what I could do to waste some of it. I finally sat down in front of the mirror and started playing with my silky brown hair. I must’ve started using the curling iron along the way because it ended up in perfect ringlets by the time I was done. I looked at the clock and saw that it was time to go now, so I put the curling iron down and headed for the front door.

As I walked out to the bus stop I saw Jennie already standing there and wondered why she was here so early. Usually she doesn’t leave her house until the very last minute. Either that or I’m stuck riding the bus alone.

“hey Jennie, why so early this morning?” I ask, making her jump a bit. Oops. She turned around to face me with a huge smile plastered on her face. Oh god, what was this about.

“so I see you have added a new friend on Facebook huh” she said giggling. Great. I was about to speak when an idea popped into my head. Time to have some fun.

“actually, he requested me.” I said simply. I tried not to laugh and then I looked over to her practically having a seizure on the sidewalk.

“NO WAY! I KNEW HE LIKES YOU! I WAS RIGHT!” she screamed once she was able to speak. Again, I tried to contain my laughter.

“yea, and then we started chatting and he proposed and so we rode off into the sunset on his magical unicorn named Sandy.” I finished, now allowing myself the laughing fit I had been holding back for a while. She stood there about ready to murder me. Right when she was about to speak the bus came and I sprinted for the doors, but was cut off by my friend Matt, who just looked at me and laughed when Jennie started hitting me in the arm. I glared at him for giving her the opportunity.

When we were finally on the bus Jennie had calmed down a bit and was able to actually carry out a conversation. I turned to her and she looked like she was ready to pounce at any second. I scooted a bit away from her and then looked back.

“so, you and Peter are now Facebook friends.” she said. I laughed a bit at her serious face. She almost looked like a cop interrogating his suspect.

“yes, we are now friends on Facebook.” I replied to her. Her facial expression didn’t waver in the slightest. I have a feeling this is going to be a long bus ride.

“ok, and you requested him, correct?” she asked. I nodded trying to stifle a laugh. “how quickly did he accept it?” she continued. I sighed. I wasn’t going to tell her within a minute or two if I didn’t have to but she always sees through my lies. Oh well, lets give it a shot.

“I don’t really remember.” I said trying to look like I was thinking hard about it. When I looked back to her she was shaking her head in disapproval.

“Oh silly V, havent you learned by now! I can tell when your lying to me. Now, tell me how quickly he accepted it.” she pressed. I sighed.
