On the way home I pretty much stayed silent for the whole ride. Jennie sat next to me texting on her phone and I sat sort of in a daze. I kept thinking back to what had happened wondering if it was all just a figment of my imagination. After more then half the people were off the bus Jennie turned to me.
“ok, so what the hell happened to you in the time you went to your locker, because you are never this quiet.” she said looking me dead in the eyes. I laughed a bit at how well she knew me. She sat there staring at me for a minute while I giggled to myself.
“I went to go to my locker and I ran into Peter, like literally.” I answered as I replayed the moments in my mind. She snapped her fingers in my face and looked at me doubtfully.
“ok and what else? I know that isn’t all that happened. If it was you would be embarrassed, not happy.” she laughed. I sighed and shrugged, she knew me way too well.
“ok, fine. After I bumped into him he started talking to me and offered to walk me to my class, but I said I was going home and then we said goodbye and that was that.” I told her.
“OH MY GOSH I SO KNEW IT HE TOTALLY DOES LIKE YOU AND YOU WILL GET MARRIED AND BE HAPPY FOREVER AND EVER! I have to plan your wedding! OH MY GOD THIS IS GONNE BE GREAT! Ok, so first off, the flowers.” she said barely taking a breath. I laughed and shook my head.
“He and I aren’t even dating. I don’t even know if he actually likes me!” I replied to her. She rolled her eyes. “what?” I questioned. She laughed a bit.
“oh V. sweet, sweet V. He obviously likes you.” she said in a sickly sweet tone. I rolled my eyes and let the subject go. We both went silent for the rest of the ride.
When we got off the bus I waved goodbye and ran inside to be greeted by an empty house. I shrugged, tossing my bag in the corner of the kitchen and raiding the cabinet for a quick snack before starting my homework. I grabbed a bag of Doritos before picking up all my stuff and heading up to my room to do my homework.
After about a half an hour of sitting there procrastinating I got to work. I was halfway done after another hour. By 4:30 I was completely finished. I yawned, leaning back on my pillows and flipping through the channels aimlessly. Before I knew it I was nodding off. Then next time I looked at the clock it was 6:12 pm. I listened closely and I heard movement downstairs. I got out of my bed and walked over to the corner of my room where my laptop sat on the desk. I turned it on and logged onto Facebook. Once I was on I clicked on the chat bar at the bottom of the screen. I glanced through everyone that was online, finding Jennie’s name and opening a conversation with her.
V: Hey :p
J: HEY GURLLLL! ;)
V: don’t do that. You don’t sound cool. Just stupid. ;)
J: Ouch. Ok fine. So anyway, what u doin?? Talking to your boyfriend.. ;P
V: should I know what you mean by that..?
J: PETER SILLY GOOSE!! He is currently online. You should chat him ;)
V: I don’t even think that I’m friends with him..
J: then request him..he would definitely accept. I mean, who would ignore
their soul mate!?!? ;)
V: okay, one no, I don’t want to deal with when he doesn’t accept -_- and
two, we arent soul mates. So stop saying we are.
J: ok, whatever, but one day when you guys are making your own little Peter
and Vs’ I have the right to say I told you so. Just not RIGHT then.
>.<
V: you are the most disgusting person ever you know that right?
J: yea, but you still love me ;D
I laughed to myself as I read this. As soon as I went to reply to her I heard my mom yell up to me from downstairs.
“Nessa! Its time for dinner!” she yelled from I am guessing the kitchen. I sighed and deleted all that I had written, and retyped my message.
V: I have to go, dinner time! I will ttyl! Bye!! :D
J: kk, ttyl girlie ;)
Once I read her last message I logged out of Facebook, shut my laptop, and headed downstairs for food. As I walked down the steps I could smell the food on the table. We were having burgers, my favorite.
After dinner I cleared my place and went back up to my room. I plopped down on my bed with my Ipod and headphones. I turned on my music and logged onto the Facebook app. When it had loaded completely I went to the search bar and typed in ‘Peter Wolfe’. His profile was the first to come up on the list. I clicked on it and clicked ‘request’ and immediately regretted it. He wouldn’t actually accept it and now I would just look stupid. I hit the home button on my Ipod to then go and play a game. Before my game could load completely my Facebook notifications went off. I went back into the app to see that Peter had already accepted my request. I smiled to myself before closing out and going to bed. Jennie was going to get a kick out of this.
