Epilogue
I stepped off of the plane and into the blistering LA heat. Tears were streaming down my face both from happiness of the fact that I was actually there in America; but also from sadness of leaving two of the most important people in my life behind. My life was going to be different now, hopefully the good type of different. I followed the guys to go reclaim our luggage from the luggage carousel within the airport. As soon as we stepped into the main lounge I was pulled into a hug by the cutest three year old I had ever seen. Bandit Lee Way stood there hugging my legs. I lifted her off the ground so she could hug me properly.
"Shouldn't you be hugging your daddy first?" I asked her and she shook her head.
"No, you look sad," she told me in her cute voice. I put her down on the ground.
"Well you made me happy Bandit, now go hug your daddy before he gets sad," I told her with mock authority. Little Bandit ran over to Gerard and screamed as he lifted her over his head, I laughed at the two of them being happy together. I walked over to the luggage carousel and grabbed my suitcase. I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder and squeeze it slightly. I turned around t see Lindsay standing there with a genuine smile on her face.
"Hey, I'm Lindsay. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, the boys haven't stopped talking about how amazing you are," She told me, oh Tre I was so nervous meeting her.
"H-hi, I'm Elena," I said quietly extending my hand so she could shake it. She chuckled slightly and pulled me into a warm embrace.
"You're a part of my family Elle, and my family are big huggers," she whispered into my ear before leading me back to everyone else. Alicia was standing next to Mikey their hands were intertwined, she sent me a sweet and apologetic smile before going with Mikey to collect his bag. Christa and Jamia were there also, as were Cherry and Lily who are just too cute. The twins were sleeping in their push chair so they didn't mind when their mother and aunt came over to pull me into a hug.
Just over half an hour later and we pulled into the Way residence. Gerard led me upstairs into my room. Wow, it was painted blue, purple and silver had a double bed with black covers in the middle of the room, a silver desk facing the large window and a large built in mirrored wardrobe. Gerard quickly left the speechless me standing the centre of the room closing the door behind him. I dropped by bag next to my bass (that had been sent the day before we left) and fell onto the soft bed. I fell into a deep sleep dreaming about Lewis and what it was going to be like when I saw him again. That was the best sleep I'd had in a long time. Maybe it was because I was finally with family, or perhaps it was because I was safe and far away from Matt. I guess I'll never know.
