This is awkward.... it's been a crazy long time.
Violet was contented readying herself to go to sleep, her makeup was off and her teeth were brushed and her fuzzy socks were on. Just as she plugged her phone into her charger and snuggled into her blankets, she heard it vibrate on the side table.
Sighing, wondering who could possibly be bothering her at this very moment, she reached for her phone.
From: Liam
can I come pick you up?
Violet quickly replied.
To: Liam
I was just with you and I'm all sleepy and ready for bed :(
From: Liam
stay the night with me? I want to cuddle with my girlfriend
Violet's cheeks blushed at his text, and she sighed as she typed out her reply.
To: Liam
how long until you're here? :)
Fifteen minutes later, Violet had her jacket on and a bag with clothes for tomorrow when they went to brunch, and was waiting outside her dorm building for Liam to pull up.
She saw his familiar car pull in and couldn't help the smile that came onto her lips.
He pulled up next to her and rolled down his window. "Hop in, babe."
Violet thought she might melt, despite how cold it was.
"You look cute." Liam chucked, seeing her hair in an extremely messy bun and her fluffy polka-dotted socks poking out from her shoes.
"Don't even look at me." Violet said, covering her makeup-less face with her hands. "I took all my makeup off because I thought I was going to bed." She pouted and Liam pulled out onto the road.
"Hey, you look beautiful no matter what." Liam told her seriously. He hated that she didn't necessarily consider herself beautiful. Liam thought she was the most gorgeous girl he had ever laid eyes on.
"Anyways, thanks for getting me." Violet changed the subject.
"Sorry to bother you so late. It's just, you're my girlfriend now and I want to spend as much time with you as possible." Liam shrugged as he turned a corner.
And you make my pillows smell nice, he almost added.
"I seriously don't mind." She assured him, slowly sliding her hand into his free one on the centre console. Liam glanced at her quickly and smiled.
When they got to his place, the first place Violet went to was the bathroom, to make sure she didn't look too terrifying with a bare face. She sighed as she studied herself, not happy with her appearance. However, she rarely was.
"What'ya doing?" Liam's face peeped past the door just far enough to look at her in the mirror.
"Nothing," she said, turning and giving him a soft smile.
"Aren't you tired, love?" he asked sweetly. "I have something planned for us tomorrow, remember?"
Violet recalled the brunch she had been thinking about earlier, and she did feel quite tired. She reached for his hand and he led her to his room.
Violet didn't feel uncomfortable sharing a bed with Liam. But that was probably because, well, it was Liam. He was a well-mannered boy, and she trusted that he would never try anything inappropriate with her unwilling. She was fairly sure she had placed every ounce of trust she had in him - and she wasn't even too afraid of him breaking it. That was a big step for her.
