April's POV
Monday Morning, Potions class.
Mira was in today's potions class with me, so there was a double upside. The other upside was that Draco was in our class. He had been ignoring me lately, and only glared at me when we had our meals. I returned the favour, by not talking to him. I thought I could just shake it off, but it was much harder than I had originally thought. I still hadn't told Mira, who was oblivious to most things considering her time with Neville. I think she was starting to fall in love. I smiled at her and she gave me a generous grin back, as we headed into Slughorn's classroom.
I sat down in the first empty seat I saw, which left Mira flantering around looking for another spot. I saw Harry near the front, reading a textbook. Mira had no choice, and sat down next to him. I looked to the side of me, to see who I was sitting next to. It was Draco. He looked over at me, and I noticed him trying to give me a small grin, but failed. He scowled down at the table, concentrating like his life depended on it. I turned away, glaring at the front of the room.
Mira's POV
April had left me sitting next to Harry, which wasn't all bad. He was a really nice guy. I'd even remembered the first time I'd met him. I smiled to myself. The only downside was that he got a bit too close when he was helping me with my work. I did my best to ignore what he was doing throughout the lesson. When it was time to go, I stood up and waited for April. I linked my her arm through hers and we walked out of together. We skipped stupidly towards the Ravenclaw tower, laughing like fools. April and I skipped up the almost endless flight of stairs, up to the only door.
"Why don't we just use a spell to get up here?" April pondered.
I giggled at her semi-disgusted tone. "I know! Shall we try?"
April nodded, agreeing almost instantly.
"Ascendio!" April called, pointing her wand at us. We shot up into the air, and landed in front of the common room door in a big mess. We both laughed, pulling ourselves up from the ground.
''Well,'' I said slowly, ''It works. I suppose we can use it now!''
April nodded while smiling. She then turned and pushed the old door open, and I followed her in.
- A Week Later -
April's POV
I stifled a groan, pulling myself out of bed. I saw Mira doing the same.
I gave her a small smile, ''Mornin' Mira.''
She mumbled a response, which sounded something like, ''Yeah, Morning.''
Laughing, I stood up. ''Aren't you meant to be the morning person?''
Mira shrugged, dragging herself into the bathroom. ''Hurry up in there!'' I called to her.
After we were ready, we decided to head to class, skipping breakfast. It was Monday morning so we had potions first.
Mira sighed and then waved, turning to leave to her seat. I quickly stopped her, ''Sit with me?'' I begged helplessly. She nodded and sat down beside me.
''Won't someone get mad?'' Mira asked. I shrugged in response.
I eyed the seat next to me, as the familiar blonde haired boy sat down. Draco's eyes raked over me for a moment, before he smirked a little.
My mouth opened a little surprised, I thought he was ignoring me?
I was snapped out of my thoughts, as I felt Mira tugging on my shoulder.
''Alright, SPILL!'' She whispered furiously.
I rolled my eyes, ''What do you mean?''
Mira pointed at me, ''You.'' She then glanced warily at Draco, ''And him.''
My eyes widened slightly, ''What do you mean?''
She was still glancing at Draco every so often, ''Come on. Anyone can see it. I'm pretty sure he-''
I gasped, my hand shot over her mouth. 'What?!' Mira mouthed. I leaned forward, and whispered into her ear, ''He's listening!''
Mira nodded and I let my hand drop. I then muttered, ''I'm not sure Mira. He acts like he likes me...and then he pushes me away...''
A frowned replaced her shocked expression, ''April! April please listen to me! Talk. To. Him.''
I listened to her demands quietly, nodding.
Throughout the day I didn't bother to pay attention in class. What Mira said. How Draco had looked at me when Mira had accused him of...of...liking me. His face, floated around my mind, I couldn't help it anymore. It just happened.
I smiled grimly, knowing what I had to do.
''Mira,'' I smiled sweetly, ''I have to go talk to someone.''
Mira grinned at me, ''Go get 'em, tiger.''
