Starting Sixth Year

Mira's POV

April and I walked down the aisle, trying find a seat on the overly crowded train.

"Here!" April said, opening the door of a compartment and settling herself into one of the chairs. I slid into the spot across from her. She was glaring out the window, watching the trees speed past. It made me smile, April was a great friend.

"I can't wait until we get back!" She grinned excitedly, turning her head towards me.

I nodded happily. I was pretty excited! I couldn't wait to see everyone again. We were starting our sixth year at Hogwarts. We spent most of the holidays apart, and the only time we saw each other was when we were walking down the street. I was happy to see my best friend again.

"Come get your candy!" The candy lady called out, pushing her trolley down the aisle. I pulled open the door of our compartment, and the lady stopped.

"What would you like, darling?" She asked.

I bit my lip, thinking. "One bottle of Bertie Bott's and three chocolate frogs."

The lady handed me my food, and I paid her.

"What about you, sweetie?" The lady asked April as she looked over my shoulder.

"None for me," April shook her head and smiled.

The lady closed the door and continued walking up the aisle. I handed April a chocolate frog, and she placed it in her pocket. She once again looked out the window and sighed.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked.

April nodded and I smiled at her. "Whatever's bothering you must be silly,'' I told her. ''Look! We're almost there!''

April's POV

We stepped off the train, arm in arm. I was chewing on my chocolate frog while Mira was spitting out Bertie Bott beans.

"Why is this candy so horrible!" She exclaimed and I giggled at her horrified reaction. She handed the bottle to a passer by, who just happened to be Ron Weasley. She smiled at him. He through the bottle in a nearby bin. Mira gave Ron a hug and they started talking about the holidays.

"Mira...Can we go now?" I poked her shoulder impatiently.

Mira turned around and grabbed hold of my arm. "Okay. See ya later, Ron!" She smiled and Ron waved at the both of us before leaving.

"You gotta thing for Ron?" I teased her.

"You have issues." Mira commented. We both laughed and made our way to Hogwarts.
