April's POV
Monday evening.
I crept through the Hogwarts hallways, going towards the dungeons. Unnoticed, I slipped into the Slytherin common room. I squinted my eyes into the darkness, seeing no one. I released a breath I hadn't realised I was holding in. I walked past a few doors until I stopped in front of one. It was the right one, I was sure of it. I determindley pushed the door open, without knocking. Relieved, I saw that he wasn't in here - yet.
I slowly walked through the room, taking in everything. The trophies, medallions, certificates and textbooks. I studied his walls next. There were a few things that hung on the wall, like Slytherin scarfes and flags. Sitting down on the bed, I sighed. This is it. I waited for the pale skin and the blonde hair that my fingers itched to touch to come through the door.
Draco's POV
I sneered at Snape as he finally let me leave his office. It was after curfew so I hurried towards my dorm, not wanting another detention.
Muttering the password the door swung open, letting me into the Slytherin common room. Nobody was out here. I shrugged and pushed through the room and towards the dorms. I located my door and heaved it open.
I saw her, she was sitting on my bed. Her beautiful face and perfect curled brown hair that cascaded onto her shoulders. Suddenly, the walls I'd built in my mind over the past week came crumbling down without further hesitation.
April's POV
"A-April? What are you doing here?" Draco stuttered, the shocked expression never left his face.
"Draco..." I trailed off, not knowing what to say. "We need to talk..."
Something flashed across his face, only a flicker of emotion. "You're driving me crazy, April." He stated seriously.
My jaw dropped, "W-What?"
"I can't stand it. Being away from you. Having other guys stare at you."
I started, "Draco. What are you talking about-"
He choked out, interrupting me, "I need you April. Just thinking about you keeps me going through each day."
I stared into his eyes, the pain was obvious on my face. I couldn't help it anymore, a tear rolled down my cheek. "I'm not used to this..." I whispered.
Draco resisted the urge to come forward, as he rocked on his heels. "I don't want to put you in danger..." He said, pained.
I took a deep breath, remembering what Mira had said. "Dammit Draco, forget about my safety for once-"
"Never," He growled quietly
"-And get your ass over here and kiss me," I finished.
Confusion stumbled across his handsome face. It was wiped away by determination, as he strided across the room. Draco's muscled arms slid around my waist, pulling me closer to him. My fingers wandered from his chest to his hair. The sparks went off madly as his lips melted against mine. He moaned, tracing kisses along my neck. My hands went under his t-shirt, roaming against his fine abs.
"Damn April," Draco whispered into my hair. I smiled and tugged him onto the bed, which made him fall easily.
I sighed, lying against his chest. "April, will you be my girlfriend?" Draco asked nervously.
Giggling, I nodded, "Of course Draco."
"But do you mind if we play it lowkey around the others?" He questioned, "Just for a while?"
I nodded again. Draco grinned, his fingers grazed along the palm of my hand. "I love you."
Shock hit me like a wave, "You-You do?"
He nodded, staring into my eyes. "I love you too," I said and he hugged me tightly. Tiny explosions were going through my body, it was uncontrollable. Malfoy, Draco Malfoy, was mine, all mine.
"...Finally," A voice in the back of my head whispered.
Draco was still staring at me, "I guess I should tell you then..."
I frowned a little, "Okay..."
"You probably figured it out already, that I'm a..."
I sighed, tears threatened to pierce my eyes, "A deatheater."
Draco stayed still, "He can never know about you. He'd kill you."
I knew perfectly well who 'he' was. I looked up, "So he's back, is he?"
"You don't sound surprised," Draco whispered.
I then turned away, "Could you promise me something?..."
He gently turned me towards him again, "What is it?"
"You won't break my heart?"
Draco grimaced, "I will always keep you safe, April, no matter what."
I placed my head against him, it was a good enough answer, for now, "Thankyou Draco."
A smirk appeared on his lips, "Now, where were we?"
