Your POV

Beep, Beep, Beep

Oh god, not that sound again. I struggle to open my eyes, but when I do, light immediately blinds me.

"Can we turn off the damn lights, please?" I hoarse.

"Y/n!"

"She's awake!"

"I'll go get the doctor!"

"Lights, please!" I groan. The lights dim.

I open my eyes fully. I see Keith standing by my side holding a cup of water, silently offering it to me. I reach to grab, but fail due to the pain. Keith gives me a sympathetic smile. He brings the cup to my lips and tips it back for me to drink. The doctor walks in.

"Hello, I'm Dr. Martin. Glad to see you finally awake! Now, I am going to ask you a series of questions if that's alright with you." I nod

"Why don't we start with your name and date of birth."

"Y/f/n, May 27, 1997.

"Good, do you remember why you were here in California?"

I think for a second. I can't tell him about 'Mystery Elements.'

"It's okay, you can tell me about 'Mystery Elements.'

The fuck? "Ok, well, we when to Epic records to talk to Simon and L.A. about 'Mystery Elements."

"What else did you do that day?"

"Hung out with Lauren."

"Good, good. Your memory seems to be doing fine, as predicted. Do you remember how you got here?"

"Well, I dropped Lauren off, then headed home. On the way back.....

Flashback

Screeeeeeech! Crash!

I groan and push the air bag down, until it is deflated. I had just stopped short and the car behind me hit me hard. I look out in front of me. The reason why I stopped short.

A car had flipped in front of me and is now upside-down.

I quickly get out of the car but fall to the ground, getting a bit queasy. I bring my hand to my head and shake off the pain. I felt something warm, brought my hand down and saw blood on it. I look at my car and see the side window with a huge crack. I must of hit my head on the side window. How the hell did that happen?

"Help! Help!"

I look up and see a man crawling out the drivers window. I quickly get back on my feet, ignoring the pain in my head. I reach the man, and tried to pull him out. I was too weak and struggled, until man came to help me. We got the man out of the car and carried/dragged him as far away from the car as possible.

The man picks his head up and looks at me with frantic eyes. "My daughter, please she's still in there!"

Without a second thought, I run back to the now burning car. I look in the back seat and sure enough, I little girl, maybe 3 years old, strapped to a car seat. I crawl inside and try to unbuckle her. These damn car seat seat belts are such a pain in the ass.

By now the smell of gas and fire is getting stronger. This car could explode any minute. I have to work fast.

The little girl starts to stir. When she opens her eyes and sees the situation she is in, she starts to cry. God damn it!

"Hey, hey look at me. I'm here to save you, okay?" I have no idea if she even understands what I'm fucking saying to her. "Please stop moving, and I will get you out of the seat, alright." I say as calmly as I can. I completely crawl into the car and place my knees under her head. I managed to unbuckle the seat belt, and she fell into my knees. I quickly grabbed her and crawl out of the car.
