Your POV
"Thank you all for coming and jamming out with us!" I compliment to the crowd.
Lucas comes back on stage, hugging each one of us. "Wow, how about that guys? Give it up one more time for 'Elements!' Now that night is still young. So please continue to eat, drink, dance, and hang around. Dj, play some music."
The rest of the night was spend on the dance floor. I were dancing with everyone and everybody. I was having a blast and the dj was playing all the right songs. Although, there was one person I really wanted to dance with. I go up to the dj and ask him to play a slow song for me and he happily agreed. I make my way closer to Lauren.
"Alright guys, with a special request, we are gonna slow it down. Grab your partners or even your best friend and bring them to the dance floor." The dj announced.
The song started playing a people made their way to the floor with their partner. I counted to five before approaching Lauren. I didn't want to go right away to make it look like I was the one who requested it. But I didn't want to wait any longer incase someone else wanted to ask her to dance.
I approached Lauren and stuck my hand out. "May I have this dance?" She looked up at me and smiled. She grabbed my hand and I made our way toward the middle of the dance floor. Lauren wraps her arms around my neck and I wrap mine around her waist.
There was space in between us that I wish wasn't there. Lauren didn't make a move closer and I didn't want to make her uncomfortable. She was relaxed in my arms but she was also still tense. Her eyes never meet mine, avoiding eye contact as much as possible. But my eyes remained on her. They never felt her.
Lauren kept swerving her head left and right, still trying to avoid eye contact. I had enough. I just need to see those beautiful hypnotizing green eyes. I remove my right hand from her hip and place it under her chin. I gently force her face to face mine. Though her eyes were still else where. I laugh at her stubborn persistence.
I didn't let up though. Eventually, her eyes came into contact with mine. I was so hypnotized. I remove my hand from under her chin and place it on her cheek. Around us the slow music picks up pace and now everyone is no longer slow dancing. Everyone except Lauren and I. I give her a lingering kiss on the cheek. When I pulled away, she had a small smile on her face, one that didn't show her perfect teeth. But this reaction is enough for me.
"You want to get out of here and get something to eat? This food here just isn't enough." I whisper into her ear so she could hear my request over the loud surrounding. She nods. "Perfect, I'm going to tell the guys I'm leaving alright? You can tell the girls if you'd like. I'll meet you at your table though?" She nods again.
We leave each other's grasp. I search for the guys and tell them I'm leaving to get food. I got the same reaction from each guy; laughing but understanding knowing my appetite, which makes me laugh. I make my way back to the Fifth Harmony table to see all five girls there. I tap on Lauren's shoulder and ask if she's ready to go. She nods and we make our way out the club and into the car. Not without being bombarded with paparazzi of course. Out of instinct, I place a protective arm around Lauren's waist and guide her to the car.
Once in the car, I told the driver to go to Hope's, knowing they'd be open at such a late hour. I mean they are open 24/7. The car ride was silent with a slight awkwardness in the air, yet it was comfortable. I tried to think of topics to talk about with Lauren to start a conversation but I can't think of a good one. Instead Lauren succeeds.
"You and the guys did great tonight."
"Thank you. I honestly totally forgot that we were performing. "
