I take a deep breath before putting my mask on. I realize that once this video is posted, I will no longer be 'Mystique.' Hiding my true identity to the world... or at least everyone who watches the videos. I will no longer be hiding behind a mask. People will know the face that is hidden by the mask. My face. This is a step I'm willing to take. A huge step, in the right direction.
I take my place in front of the mic stand. I tap it to make sure it is on. I give the thumbs up and immediately the lights shut off and a spotlight is beaming down on my head. I see the red dot blinking from the cameras. Cole points to me giving my the go. I take a deep breath before the music starts and I have to sing.
