Hide and seek

I woke up and I saw he had texted me. He sent me one more of those cute goodmorning texts. 

I texted back,I got ready for school and I left.

The lesson was...boring. Unfortunately, one ofbthat day's tests was kinda difficult for me. Never mind. 

When school had finished, I started walking home. In the middle of the distance, a car appeared on the street next to the pavement I was walking.

Justin opened the window, took of his sunglasses, and told me to get in.

I sat in and I kissed him.

"Hey beautiful"

"Hi baby" 

"How are you?"

"I'm fine, what about you?"

"I'm good."

He was driving carefully. After some minutes of driving, I noticed he wasn't taking me home.

"Where are we going?"

"We'll eat at McDonald's, if you want"

"Sure, I'm starving. And then? Are we doing something else?" I asked.

"I don't have anything on mind, but we could..."

Justin stopped driving and he moved his face closer to mine. He smiled, but he didn't kiss me. 

When we arrived at McDonald's, Justin got out of the car, and ran to open my door. I jumped on the pavement and I almost fell. Justin, immediately caught my waist and I didn't.

"Thanks" I thanked him breathless. He looked me in the eyes, held my hand and we got in.

We kept holding hands when we ordered.

"Hello. What would you like to eat?" the friendly woman asked.

Justin started ordering.

"I'd like a cheeseburger with chips and a soda", he looked at me and continued "What about you, baby"

I blushed and I ordered the same meal.

When it was ready, Justin payed, we got our trays and started looking for an available table. Finally, we ended upstairs. That part of the restaurant wasn't very crowded.

We sat and started eating without talking too much. I opened my phone and texted my mom that I wouldn't return home for lunch...

"So, what are we doing next?" Justin asked when he was over.

"What do you mean?" I said without looking at him. I picked my my coke and I drank.

"Before you said something... and you seemed like you really wanna spend the day with me" he whispered. He got up and he sat next to me. 

"Well.." I started, "I just wanted to know how long we'll be together, so I let my mom know. She often worries when I'm away for too long. See?" I showed him my phone, "I just texted her".

"Your excuses aren't good enough. Come on, admit it. You wanna have fun today, right?" he smiled and he touched my cheek.

"Justin, we're not alone" I said avoiding his hand. Some people were looking at us.

"I know..Okay, eat and then we're leaving for my home"

 I didn't say anything-I just continued eating. When I was done, I got up. 

 When we arrived at Justin's house, we sat on the couch, thinking what we might do. 

"What about watch a movie?" I suggested.

"Hmm, it's boring"

"Then what do you want to do?"

 Justin smirked.

"What's in your wild imagination mind?" I told him

"Let's play hide and seek. In the house"

"You must be kidding. Justin, have you ever seen how huge this place is?"

"Haha, Niki, that was ironic- You know, this is my house."

"Okay. Go hide. I'll count till 50 and then I'll try to find you. Deal?"

"Deal. But you won't, be sure about that"

 Then a strange loud noise came from upstairs.

"Nothing, leave it. Start counting-AND DON'T CHEAT!!" 

 I covered my face with my hands and I started counting. 1,2,3,4...15.....20...25...30...50.

I got up and started searching for him. He wasn't in the kitchen or in one of the ten rooms and bathrooms downstairs. 

I got upstairs, trying not to make a noise in the stairs. I looked at his bedroom but he wasn't there. He wasn't in the bathrooms. He wasn't in the spa. Then, I went downstairs again. I had forgotten to look in the other bedrooms for the visitors. Damn it, in a house like that he could be anywhere. 

As I was walking, I heard again that strange sound I had heard before. I turned around but nobody was there. I continued walking. Then I froze.

 Justin was laying on the floor. Covered with blood. Like someone had stabbed him.
