You just like money come & go,

So what am I getting weak in the knees fo?

After they left I walked in my room and stripped out my clothes. That Megan is really something else. I hate to say, but she is just a little sister I always wanted. Her brother is just like the rest, think he can get me in with that smile. Naw! That’s not how it works this way. After putting on some sweats and beater, I walked back downstairs to help my mother with the dishes.

“You had fun?” she asked. I grabbed the plate and rinsed it for her.

“Yeah I mean they cool.” I shrugged. “Megan is funny she was telling me all kind of stuff.” I giggled just thinking about it. I love that little girl.

“I know I could tell by how the giggles were just going.” She smiled. “Now her brother.” I rolled my eyes. “He is cute.”

“I mean he okay.” I shrugged. “He ain’t all that.”

“Are you serious?” she giggled. “He gotta thang for you.”

“Yea whatever.” I shrugged. We finished cleaning up the dishes and it was getting late. My body started to relax, that’s how I knew it was time for me to go to sleep. i headed back to my room and flipped my cover.

The sweet smell of vanilla hit my nose. I smiled. I crawled in my bed and reavhed for my phone. I saw I had 34 missed calls from.

I shook my head and put my phone on the charger. I really hate clingy boys.

“Liyah get up.” My dad yelled. I opened my eyes and saw him standing over me with his red pajamas on. “Today I want you to get up and go the stuff for your party.”

“Daddy.” I whined. “The party is in 3 days, we have time.” I threw the covers over my head and tried to lay there. With him being so much taller and stronger then me he snatched it back.

“Get up!” he yelled. Throwing my covers. “Now! And make that bed up.” I looked at the door and just shook my head. He threw so he should come and pick it up. I looked at the clock and saw it was only 10:43. What stores is open this early?

I walked downstairs and saw my mother cooking breakfast; she had some bacon, waffles, and hash brown on a plate. I sat next to my dad, he just smiled at me. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my plate. “Good morning mama.”

“Good morning baby.” She sung. She came over and kissed my head and walked back to the stove. “Megan called and asked could she ride with you to go and get the stuff for the party?” My heart fluttered a little bit. Now before yall start thinking, my dream was always having a little sister. All my life I was the only child so I always wanted somebody to talk to and help in there time of need. “I told her I would have you to call her when you get up.”

“Okay.” I nodded. I finished my plate and headed back upstairs. My cover was still on the floor. I sigh and picked it up. After getting my body and room cleaned up I was ready to go. I walked to my phone and dialed the number she gave me last night. She answered on the 3rd ring. “Hey Megan.”

“Hey Brittney.” She smiled. “So can I go?”

“Sure.” I nodded. “I’ll be there in 15 minutes. Give me your address.”

After taking her address I was ready to go and get her. I threw on my light blue bleached ripped jeans, white and blue Jordan’s, and my blue Aero shirt. I grabbed my keys and walked downstairs. “I’m gone.” I yelled.

I pulled up to her house and it’s the same size as ours. I called and told her I was outside, but she told me to come inside. I walked to the door and knocked. Her father opened the door and smiled. “Come in.”

He moved to the side and the scene was breath taking. It was a huge family picture with them all. I laughed because Issa looked younger and Megan was a baby. “She’ll be down in a second.” He informed pulling me out my thoughts. I nodded and kept looking ahead.

“Hey dad.” Issa yelled. He stopped in his sentence when he saw me. He wasn’t wearing a shirt and I would be lying if I said he didn’t look good. He looked at me and smirked. I turned my head and sigh. He walked towards me and hovered over me. “Don’t turn ya head if you like what you see.” He whispered.

“I’m sorry I saw something so much better.” I shot at him. His whole smile fell. I stepped back and he stepped forward again.

“Could you tell me what that was?” he asked. Now it’s annoying me.

“I’ll tell you if you give me my room.” I snapped. He stepped back and smirked at me. “I love a challenge.”

“Yeah whatever.” I shrugged. “You call it a challenge, I call it rejection.”

“Damn straight?” he asked. “I can’t even hit?”

I looked at him with disgust. Are you fucking serious? I shook my head and looked up the stairs.

“Oh now I see.” He said. I looked at him. “You to stuck up for a dude like me. All just because I didn’t go to college like you.”

“I never said that.” I shrugged. “Somebody not used to rejection.”

“Look-“

“Okay Liyah I’m ready.” Megan smiled. I looked at her and smiled. She ran to me and I hugged her. “I’m sorry.” She said looking at her brother.

“Don’t worry.” I giggled. “Some people need to just learn everything that walks the door, actually wanna keep their clothes on.”

She looked up at me and smiled. We walked out the door and he was standing there with his mouth open. I looked back at him and winked.
