Missy’s POV
Drew left me standing me there in the grass looking stupid. Yes, I do have feelings for him. Do I regret doing what I did? No, not at all. I know what you all are thinking but, trust me I have my reasons. You may think Liyah & I are close, we are but not as close as everybody thinks. I mean don’t get me wrong I love her like a sister, but I just don’t like her. All her life she has had everything handed to her. All of the attention has always been on her. I’m sick of it! With her father playing for the Miami Heat & her mother a beautiful actor, she never had to work for anything. I mean yes she went to college but who paid for that? I never went to college. I really wanted to go, but my dad said we don’t have the money.
Anyway I walked back into the house to find everybody dressed and ready yo get ready for this dinner. Just like I said I will be there, and I am going with Mac. I don’t care what you all say, I work what I got to get what I want.
“Sweetie get ready.” Aunty smiled. “You dress is in the room.”
“We leaving in 10.” Uncle yelled. “Liyah you hear me?”
“Yeah.” She yelled back. “Give me 5 more minutes.”
“Go.” Auntie shooed.
We pulled up to the dinner and the scene was breath taking. With my long red grown flowing down my body, my hair curled in some loose curls down my back, and my black red bottoms to match. Liyah and I are wearing the same dress, but hers is blue. Our shoes are the same. She has a high tight bun instead of curls.
“Ready?” Unc asked, smiling at auntie.
“Yeah.” Liyah smiled.
The moment we opened the door flashes of lights came over my view. I had to cover my eyes a little. We hop out the limo and questions and camera are everywhere. I can tell Liyah is used to it; she’s looking straight ahead and walking. She’s waving at a few people and giggling. After unc take questions with some people we were walking into the diner room and it’s beautiful. A little man escorts us to our seat and we sit where our names are placed. I look over to my side and see I was in between Liyah & Mac. It’s an empty seat next Liyah and it read Drew. I instantly got mad all over again. A ton of people came over and asked for an autograph, unc smiled and signed.
“Yo D!” a voice yelled.
We all looked over and saw Drew and his family. Liyah smiled as Meg came running towards her. Liyah smiled and stood up and hugged her tight. We all looked and smiled at them two.
“Hi Liyah!” Meg smiled.
“Hi.” She giggled.
“You look nice.” She looked over at her dress.
“So do you.” Brittney laughed, running her hands through her curls. “Hi Mr. & Mrs. Hart.”
“Hello Liyah.” They waved. “Hello Missy.”
“Hi.” I smiled, looking at Drew. “Hi Mac.”
“What’s up?” he nodded. “Hi Liyah.”
