Meg’s POV

“Liyah are you serious?” I asked, holding the phone with my shoulder. “Please don’t play with me.”

“Meg.” She paused. “He really asked me that.”

“What did you say when he asked that?” I asked, throwing the spoon in the sink.

“I told him.” She sighs. “I don’t know.”

“Then what did he say?” I asked, grabbing the chips.

“He told me that’s what he feeling.” She said. “Meg I truly don’t want to hurt him, but I also don’t want to lie to him.”

“I mean.” I shrugged, sitting on the chair. “He has to understand that, that love stuff takes time.”

“True.” She agreed.

“But you are his first love.” I nodded. “Liyah I’m not trying to make you feel bad, but he is a wonderful guy when you get to know him.”

“I know. Meg trust me I know.” She whined. “But I just don’t feel the same way about him. Like I use to.”

“Wait.” I paused, eating my sandwich. “What you mean use to?”

“Meg I did like your brother.” She answered. “Thought it was love.”

“Then what happened?” I asked.

“When we got into it.” She sighs. “When he told me ‘He hope Missy’s baby is his’.”

“When was this?” I asked.

“Like a couple of weeks ago.”

“I think I know what you talking about.”

“Yeah.” She agreed. “Then when he said that, that lets me know that the feelings that I thought I had for him, wasn’t true. I mean let me be real with you, when I heard that I was hurt. Like he was proud, or something.”

“Liyah I’m sorry.” I whispered.

“Don’t be.” She sighs. “You didn’t tell him to say that.”

“Well I truly don’t blame you.” I nodded. “I mean I wouldn’t think I would give Red another chance.”

“Thank you.” She laughed. “Cause all this time, I was feeling bad.”

“No need.”

“OMG! Meg.” She laughed. “Thank you for understanding.”

“You know I’m always here for you.” I smiled. “But I have to ask you something.”

“What’s up?” she asked.

“Can you be the god mother of my child?”

“Yes.” She yelled. “I’m honored.”

“No.” I said. “Thank you for being here for me.”

“Always.” She laughed.

“And forever.” I finished. “Well Ima finish my sandwich and call Red to bring my some warm cookies from McDonald’s.”

“Just fat.” She laughed. “How many?”

“12.” I laughed. “Don’t judge me! Bye girl.”

“Bye boo.” She hung up.

I threw my phone to the side and laughed. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I looked up and saw my parents. My dad looked at me and smiled. I felt kind of uncomfortable. My mother looked at me and sat back, with a dark smirk on her face.
