Mac’s POV
After the movie we decided to come back to my place. I haven’t said a word to her since the movie. As I stood over the sink, brushing my teeth she came in to pee. I quickly rinsed my mouth and headed out. I can hear her little feet in behind me.
“Please talk to me.” she begged.
“Who were they?” I asked.
“I can’t tell you.” She whispered.
“That’s making me not trust you.”
“Please don’t say that.” She begged, grabbing my shirt. “If I tell you, you would be in danger.”
“What kind of danger?”
“Everything you worked for can be taken away from you.”
“So you working for them?”
“No I’m paying my debts.”
“What kind of debts?”
“Mac please let it go.”
“No.” I yelled. “Is my life in danger?”
“No.” she shook her head.
“Look Diamond.” I sighs. “You are a great girl, but I think we just rushed into this.”
“No we didn’t.”
“Yes we did.”
“We barely know each other.”
“Mac don’t do this.” She yelled. “Cause it’s something I don’t know about you.”
“You right.” I nodded. “But you know enough.”
“Mac please just hear me out.” She pleaded.
“Naw I heard enough.” I said, looking down at her. “I think I’m finnah go out for a minute.”
“Where?”
“I don’t know.” I sigh. “I just need some air.”
“I’ll have dinner ready when you come back.”
“Don’t wait up.” I yelled walking out the door.
I skipped down the porch and headed towards my car. I hopped in and started it up. I looked up at the house and I can see that she is watching me as I leave. I pulled out the driveway and headed down the road. I don’t have a specific place where I’m exactly headed to, but I know that I couldn’t stay there for too long. I drove for a very long time, until I stopped at the bridge. I parked my car on the rocks and sat on the bench. I looked out in the view, it’s very beautiful. I pulled out my phone and saw she called me 3 times and got 32 texts from her.
“Hi stranger.” I turned around and saw Liyah walking towards me.
“What you doing here?” Missy asked, I was so depressed I couldn’t even get mad at her.
“Female problems.” I shook my head. “What yall doing here?”
“Well I just came up here to clear my head.” Liyah sigh. “Missy stay with me now.”
“Yall cool now?” I mumbled.
“Yeah.” Missy whispered. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine.” I lied.
“So what’s up?” Liyah smiled.
“Well Diamond is hiding something from me.” I admitted. “And she won’t tell me.”
