Rocking The Cradle (#wattys2016)

Part 12

After the last leg of the tour ended, Ashley brought Ellie back to his place (on account of Andy getting robbed and it would take a while to replace some of the things that were stolen)
"It may not be much Ellie. But at least it's home." Ashley said as he opened the door to walk in on his dogs, Killer and Tokyo playing tug of war with a lacy bra left by one of Ashley's "dates" before he left for tour so many months ago.
Ashley gasped nervously then, snatched the article of clothing away from the dogs playing with it.
"Not in front of the baby!" He scolded at both of them
Soon, there was a knock on the door.
"Who's that?" Ashley asked looking at Ellie as he walked over to the door
He opened it and standing on the other side was CC carrying a bunch of shopping bags.
"I don't understand why you couldn't just buy this stuff online while we were on tour." CC complained as he walked in the door
"I could have. But, I was busy." Ashley replied
"Doing what?" CC asked
"Taking care of Ellie, being on tour with you guys, making sure my clothing line is making enough money to give Ellie a good life." Ashley said
"That's what Jake said when I asked him the same question." CC said
"What about Jinxx and Andy?" Ashley asked
"Not much to say about Jinxx. But all Andy said was he wanted Ellie to stay with you one week and Jake the next. Jinxx and I can work out who gets the next two weeks. I think he's still upset that somebody broke into his house and took his stuff." CC replied
"Typical Andy. Always taking such a long time to get over something." Ashley said as he bounced Ellie who began to fuss
"What's with the bra?" CC asked as he pointed to the bra in Ashley's pocket "You haven't been cheating on me, have you?"
The bassist looked over at his pocket and said "No! I just haven't had time to clean."
"It's been almost three months! You've had lots of time between when Andy was pregnant and when we brought Ellie home for the first time. What were you doing?" CC asked
"I WAS TRAVELING OKAY?!" Ashley shouted causing Ellie to wail
"Geez Ash! No need to scare Ellie." CC said as he took Ellie from Ashley's arms into his own and began to calm her down
"Don't cry Ellie. Daddy didn't mean it." CC whispered as Ashley went through the shopping bags
Then, Ashley pulled out a Hello Kitty stuffed toy.
"How did you know?" He gasped
CC just rolled his eyes and chuckled then, took the toy from Ashley.
"Nice try, Ashes. But it's not for you." He said as he then waved the toy in front of Ellie and continued "Look Ellie! This is for you!"
Ellie just smiled at the toy then smiled at Ashley as the toy made her think of him.
"That's the most adorable thing I've ever seen." Ashley said
"Who? Ellie?" CC asked
"Of course I was talking about Ellie!" Ashley replied with a smile
