Chapter 24: Ruthless

Akira's POV

"Akira." he sounded annoyed. Well, they sounded annoyed.

"I did get permission this time." I really did get their permission to visit the young terror duo today. The twins have been keeping me on a tight leash lately since they're worried for me and the kids. Geez, just because I am pregnant doesn't make me a ticking time bomb.

"But you didn't tell us that there was a duel going on tonight," Raylen says.

I sigh. "Look, I've been learning from the past duels we've judged together for a long time now. Don't you guys trust me?"

It's true because I have been learning a lot and tonight will be my first time judging on my own without the twins. Since they can't be here tonight because of pack duties which of course doesn't involve me, I can actually conduct the judging myself!

"You're going overboard with this, Akira," Jaylen growls in the background. Great, I made the cheery happy go lucky twin mad.

"I'll be good when I come home."

"That's what you said last time." Raylen growls.

"And the time before that." Jaylen continues. I roll my eyes at those two.

"Fine, I promise if I do misbehave again I won't escape and face whatever punishment my Alphas see fit."

Lustful growls can be heard through my phone and damn that was sexy.

"That was all recorded. Better not break your promise." Jaylen says.

"But I hope you do. You have no idea what kind of punishment I have installed for you."

Their purrs are practically making me melt now and just before I could say goodbye, Ryan snatched the phone from me.

"Love to puke even more right now but we have important stuff to handle. Goodbye, big brothers," he says while shutting the phone and tossing it to me. I roll my eyes at him. Typical rude Ryan.

"And where's Ryder?"

"Staff meeting. It was too boring so I had to come see my sister."

I shake my head and got up. I know he just wants an excuse to escape. Ryder is going to be pissed when he finds out. I can never get along with the twins' younger brothers but, for now, we have some issues to discuss regarding tonight's duel. I need more information on the girls. I guess we'll have to wait for Ryder when he's done with the meeting. Might as well eat first. These little babies are sure big eaters.

"Let's go. I'm hungry."

"Sure. We have a lot of catching up to do."

Atsuko's POV

"I don't know what to say, princess, except that ARE YOU CRAZY?!" Kray shouts at me. I'm currently at my bedroom window while Kray is standing on the tree branch near my window. I sigh and leaned against the window frame. I have already explained everything to Kray and he just sits on the tree branch staring at me with disapproval plastered on his face.

"You trained with me for a while now. Don't you believe my capabilities?"

"I do believe in you but for a human to challenge a werewolf is a little dangerous."

Even Kray doesn't have faith in me just because I am a human. Can these well, I really cannot say people because they are not, so I think creatures think so lowly of us humans?
