CHAPTER 16: SACRIFICES AND SLEEPINESS

Atsuko's POV

"I got the information you sent. I already pin pointed the location on where he is held but I don't know what lies in there and I don't know what they're doing to him." I said as I continue to hack more into the surveillance systems. Some operation has taken one of us and I tend to track them down even more. I see Rhett's face next to my laptop screen. He too is typing away and the others behind him are preparing for their mission to retrieve their fellow comrade. Silk is purring right next to my laptop. He's enjoying the heat its giving out or the fact that he's been disappearing on me lately but at least he's home for his regular meals is enough for me to not worry. I love him a lot and I cant stand losing him.

"Thank you, Atsuko. You don't know how helpful you are to us."

"All I need is that one of your hackers to send me that code I needed to break this firewall. Are they ready?"

"Not yet. They'll be done in a few minutes." I nod. I already know where the location is but I couldn't go any further. This operation is really suspicious. I can feel like they know what we're going to do next and who knows what they're doing to that poor boy. He's only 15 but his powers have already emerge. I can't imagine what kind of ordeal they're putting him through. I've seen it all but I don't know if this kid has. My phone beeps and it shows that I need to finish my homework soon. It's been a few weeks since that incident. How did I even get the bruises? I don't know but at least I'm healed now. Sadly I can't leave and help Rhett. Aunty and Uncle are home and I know they'll be checking up on me once in a while. More like every 10 to 20 minutes actually.These past few weeks have been hectic actually. Not only I've been brainstorming on finding this young boy but Blade's girlfriend is really giving me a hard time. Putting cockroaches in my locker, almost setting my hair on fire in Chemistry class and also having me eat earthworms. I don't even know how she managed to smuggle earthworms into my chicken salad. Sadly her plan is always backfiring since I'm always one step ahead of her. I shook my head. When is this going to end? Rhett sent me the code the hackers managed to obtain and I finally got through the firewall and different screens kept popping up. One in particular catches my eye and I click on it. A plain old room that looks like a dentist office with someone strap there. My eyes widen at what they did.

"Rhett, are you seeing this?" Rhett had the same expression as the others. Hate. They want revenge and they want it now. The poor boy.

"We're gearing up now. Atsuko, do you think you can take out the security systems for us? Our hackers are backing you up."

"They're not going to back me up. I want them to work with me to get rid of this people for good. We're going to add more oil on this."Rhett nods.

"Roger that." The screen goes dark as I watch from the screen of my laptop. The wounds and the blood are drying up and I don't know how long his healing powers are going to help. He's dying slowly and I don't think they'll need him any longer. I can see dark figures lurking on the other screens. They have already arrived? That was fast. My phone rang and I immediately picked it up.

"Atsuko?" it was Rhett.

"Front and back are heavily guarded. I suggest you go lower. I'll try taking down the security system as fast as I can." I said while breaking through so many codes and my head feels like its going to fry soon. Not to mention I have my homework due tomorrow. I hope this mission ends in time. The numbers and codes kept screening through my laptop and the hackers back at HQ are doing their best too. Few more brick walls I need to break down.

"There's no place for us to go under. What about the roof?" I look through again and see that the roof is fenced with highly charged fences with spikes. I shook my head. Below the fences are sharp glasses and if anyone gets fried from it death will be waiting for them.
