CHAPTER 22: Date & Hate

Blade's POV

I stood nervously as the two cars come to a stop. My dad walks towards the two men that came out from the first car then followed by a few men coming out from the second one. They're tough looking and they emit a strong feeling. Talon keeps his guard up in my head while I'm here nervous as hell. Dad bowed to them until he was given permission to rise. When they walk towards my house and entered, I bowed as well.

"This is my son, Blade." Dad introduces me. It's a Sunday and I have a date with Atsuko in a few hours, but I have a very important meeting with the royals.

The Kings of the supernatural realm.

Another blonde guy came in too. His power is like throwing a bucket full of ice directly at my face. I feel the coldness coming from him. Somehow the Beta is giving me cold and bad vibes just by standing next to him. His piercing blue eyes scan the surrounding and he settles down slightly. Dad leads the Kings to our office and they both sat down on the chairs we prepared for them. Their Beta settled himself outside of our office to stand guard while the others patrol around the area. For a pair of Kings, they sure do have fewer guards with them. I snort mentally. Like they need any protection. These guys are seriously strong and powerful and I mean it.

"We are very sorry to intrude on you all of a sudden, Alpha." One of the twins said to my dad. I don't know which is which because they both look the same. I'll call this guy twin number 1.

"Please just call me Philip." dad says nervously. Obviously he doesn't like to be called that by another higher authority.

"Very well." Twin 1 said. Twin 2 spoke up.

"Let's just get to the chase. We noticed that your land has been infested with rogues even with your daily hunting the number just keeps on increasing."

"Also with the dead humans. Their bodies. We conducted the autopsies ourselves and the results were really suspicious." 

We did so many autopsies and it came out nothing. All we know is that the bodies are decomposing faster than normal and some parts of their organs are missing as well. Then I thought again about what the Queen said to me.

Terrible things are happening and it will be a lot worse in the future

I gulp down the lump in my throat. Terrible things are happening and I don't know if I am ever ready. I got a lot on my mind lately. I'm trying my best to prevent Atsuko from discovering the truth but sooner or later she will find out.

Twin 1 turns to me. "I'm sure you received the message from our mate."

I jump. I did tell dad about the Queen visiting me in the guy's restroom. I shiver at that memory.

"We apologize for her absence. She's a little..busy." their eyes darken and I sink back into my seat. She must have done something to upset them again.

"I must apologize for my Beta as well. He's back at home protecting his niece. She's human. With the recent rogue activities lately, he couldn't take the risk."

They nod understandingly. Suddenly, the drinks we served the Kings started to vibrate within the cups. My eyes widen and I got closer to them. It looks like they're going to spill. The water from the cups immediately flows up and forming a shape. A small figure slowly forms and it finally forms into the Luna Queen herself. Well, in a miniature size of course.

I blink at what is right in front of me.

"Erm..."

She turns to scowl at the King Alphas who just stares back at her with dark eyes. Her watery figure is a little distracting.
