CHAPTER 1 : NEW LIFE

8 years later

Sighing as I felt the plane landing, I immediately grabbed my sling bag and got ready to get off this wretched place. The thing is I get air sickness really easy.

I got off the plane and got my luggage along with a cage. Yes a cage, why must I leave my only family and friend behind? What? Can't I have my own pet?

Silk, my cat. I found him as a stray when I was 10 and now we're practically family.

Hearing him sleeping and purring away I guess he was enjoying the flight.

"Welcome to America, please enjoy your stay"

Yes I'm in America now as in USA. I had to move here since I'm the only child and my parents died. I'm from Japan and yes I can speak Japanese and other kinds of languages. Seeing as my aunt and uncle kept persuading me to come live with them after so many years, they finally succeeded. Well, I think I made a good choice seeing as I wanted to go to a college here in the US and I'm good with English.

Walking into the airport with my luggage, I felt myself being engulfed into a very tight hug. Guessing from this hug its from my aunt since no one has that kind of strength except for her.

"Oh My Gosh! You look so beautiful now compared to the last time I saw you!!" my aunt , Klarissa squeaked in her American voice. Yes they're Americans since my aunt is practically my dad's sister who is actually adopted. Despite the fact of them being so far away, we're practically close together.

"Klarissa sweet, you're going to kill her before I could hug her." that's my uncle, Javier. Aunt Klarissa pouted and let me go. "You're always killing the mood." she pouted.

Uncle Javier hugged me and kissed aunt Klarissa on the cheek. Seeing them together you may think they're just newly wed couples.

Aunt Klarissa has sky blue eyes along with her dirty blonde hair but Uncle Javier was the complete opposite, he had dark brown hair and dark green eyes. They may look completely different but they're so sweet together.

"So sweetie, how are you? Was the flight good? I know you're having air sickness so I got ready some medicine for you." aunt Klarissa said as she held up a bag of tablets for me. I shook my head and smiled . She's the typical type of mother who is always careful with her children.

I bowed my head . "Arigato, aunty but I'm fine now." and I smiled.

She squeal again and hugged me.

"You're so cute!!!!! I wonder how do you survive in Japan with your looks!! I bet all those boys there were crazy over you!!!"

Okay, this time I really couldn't breath now.

"A-aunty...too....tight...I-itai ( Painful )...." I choked and she let go apologizing. I nodded. Then I felt movement in the cage, I guess Silk is awake.

"Merowwww..." he said as he stretched himself.

"Oh my...you brought a cat?" Uncle Javier said.

I nodded . "I can't leave her. She's the only neko ( cat ) I've ever had with me."

Aunt Klarissa pinched Uncle Javier's arm.

"Oh sweetie it's okay, you see, cats usually hate us but I don't mind having him with you." she smiled.

The ride was kind of long and I kind of find it completely different here, well the tall buildings are almost similar to the main city in Japan but the neighborhood that my aunt and uncle are living at are completely different.
