Hawkeye x Reader - Book Club

It had started out as a quiet day in a quiet university in a very quiet book club. You had been catching up on your science major studies when Hydra attacked your school. Now it seemed they were searching for a someone. "Next!" One of the Hydra agents yelled. You were shoved forward and you stood, frozen, as they checked you ID. The Hydra agent nodded and you were grabbed by the arms. "H-Hey!" You yelled as they began to drag you back to where their helicopter was.

Just then, the windows were smashed in as the famous Avenger, Hawkeye, and a group of agents swung in. "Protect the students!" He yelled. Hawkeye landed lightly on the ground and faced the two agents holding you captive. Pulling out two arrows and shooting them simultaneously, he hit them both in a matter of seconds. As both fell down clutching their chests as the arrows gave off small explosions. "Come on!" The Avenger grabbed you hand and you stumbled behind him as he took of running. "Why do they want you?!?" "I don't know! They were looking for someone with particular skills though!" You called out over the noise. The pair of you ran for the door, only to find it blocked off by agents. "Plan B. Hop on my back!" "What!" You screamed. "We are going to jump!" Hawkeye headed for one of the windows. You felt your heart speed up. The library was two stories up. A jump from that wasn't exactly the safest thing in the world. "No way!" You said as you reached the window. Hawkeye quickly aimed an arrow and shot the neighboring building. "We have to jump!" You turned away. "Uh ugh. Now way. I don't do heights." Hawkeye sighed. "Ztop Zem!" The leader of the Hydra agents yelled. "Looks like you don't have a choice." He said to you. Before you could run away, he grabed you by the waist and dragged you out the window.

You screamed and buried your face into Hawkeye's chest. So this is what it must of felt like to be Spiderman. Clint thought to himself. Unfortunately for Spider-Clint, Hawkeye hit the ground hard. He quickly protected you as you both rolled over the concrete ground. When you finally stopped rolling, your head was spinning and you couldn't breathe. Opening your eyes, you saw Hawkeye's face right on top with his lips touching yours. You squeaked and quickly fell off him, face red. "Ugh.. Sorry! Sorry... uh... what's your name?" "Y/N." You said shakily, hand over your mouth.

"Well this just made things awkward." He said. Just then, gunshots began to go off near you two. "Duck!" Hawkeye yelled and her jumped in front of you, holding you tight. "Agh!" He grimaced in pain as a bullet went into his arm, making him drop his bow and the one arrow it had on it. "Hawkeye!" You said as he make a feeble attempt to protect the pair of you from the three Hydra agents. One of them came at you as two of them battled the unarmed, injured Hawkeye in hand to hand combat. The agent grabbed you and twisted your arm behind your back but you stomped on his foot and ran away. You quickly glanced around for a weapon and found his bow. Grabbing it, you quickly notched the arrow and aimed it at your attacker.

Hawkeye was fight just a few feet away from you. He took out one of the agents but was far from winning with the second. The agent grabbed him by the neck and held him in a headlock. You quickly aimed the arrow at them. The agent yelled a bunch of gibberesh and the other agent tried coming for you but you then aimed at him. You switched targets multiple times, unsure what to do. "Run Y/N!" Hawkeye yelled. "What about you?" "I'll be fine.... probably." You sighed. You aimed the arrow at the free agent and concentrated. Quickly switching targets, you hit the arm of the agent holding Hawkeye. Hawkeye ran over and you two stood back to back, facing your attackers. "I didn't know you could fight." He said. "I can't. Got no clue." You replied. "So what your saying is you had no idea who you were going to hit!" He screamed. "Yea but I saved you so now save me!" The agent with the arrow recovered form his initial pair and now seemed rather... pissed. Both were about to attack when a ship appeared above them. Shield agents dropped down and surrounded you two. "Thank god." Hawkeye mumbled.

You watched the last of the Hydra agents be led out of the building by Shield and hugged your blanket even tighter around you. "Thanks for saving me." You mumbled to Hawkeye who was sitting next to you. "You too. Your surprisingly good with a bow." He said. "Name's Clint by the way." You smiled. "You already know my name." Clint gave a sly grin. "But not your number."
