Chapter 8

MESSANGER:

KANSAS: Seth, just wanted to say i'll cherish everything we all had and done together and thank you for showing me what true friendships were about. love Kans.

SETH: Kans, is this a good bye note haha!?

KANSAS: I'm sure after tonight it is seth. i messed up. BIG

SETH: What did you do? what's you and Jacob fighting about now?

KANSAS: The Cullins. They win. I can't compete.

SETH: what are you talking about????

KANSAS: The end. I'm out, they win. Nessie is his, I seen it in her eyes. He doesnt want me and them in the same area and i can't win. I won't be able to compete with her. she's beautiful. and i didnt know they were even like an item.

SETH: go to sleep talk tomorrow when you and Jake get here for dinner. and they ARE NOT an item. She just wishes.

KANSAS: i am not coming tomorrow seth. sorry. this is good bye.

SETH: shuttie haha see ya tomorrow.

"Sam, Kansas is trying to pull the good bye card again!" Seth said as he and Sam and a few others sat about the fire at the beach.

"Tell her to come chill with us," Sam said.

SETH: Sam said join us beach tonight.

KANSAS: feeling under weather.

SETH: beer? wine? good laughs?

KANSAS: Jacob??

SETH: Em, Le, me, Sam, few others, No Jake.

KANSAS: on way :)

With in twenty mins, Kansas pulled up.

"Damn girl, what happen to your car?" Clyde said as he walked pass her door then stopped and dropped his drink. "What the fuck happen to your face?" Sam heard Clyde and ran to Kansas as she was stepping out of the car.

"I broke my nose," she said looking down as she stepped out.

"How did you do that?" Clyde asked as he stepped closer.

"Um, with my phone?" she said hoping they would think she hit her self in the face really hard with it. "And so with that said, do you have that loaner?" Emily nodding yes and gave her a huge hug.

"Lets go get it for you," she said as she pushed the boys away that were stairing at Kansas. Sam had everyone go sit back around the fire and walked into the house.

"... its okay really. I'm sure though that this will be the last time I can hang out with you guys," Kansas told Emily. "I mean, I'll make sure to bring this phone back."

"You are always welcomed here hun, no matter if Jacob is around or not," Emily told her. Kansas got a little tearyed eyed but them wiped them away.

"Kansas, did Jacob do this?" Sam flat out asked. She staired at him. "I'm only asking because those punches are something Jacob does, and as for this phone bit, I dont buy you hit yourself that hard with the phone to shatter that and your nose," he said as he stepped in to look at her face. She started to cry.

"Sam, please just lets hear this story before you go off the edge," Emily pleaded. Soon Seth was inside too. She simply told them what happend and how.

"I'm going to kill him. There is no reason for him to be doing this shit to her. Kansas, you don't ever do anything wrong, he's snapped on the wrong person. YOu are good and warm, they are not," Sam said as he paced back and fouth.

"He threw the phone at your face?" Seth said in shock. Kansas just shook her head. She never lied, no reason too. Seth hugged her and then stormed off.

"Seth, stay cool," Sam said as he went after him.

"Seth please don't do anything. Sam, please, I'll deal with it when it comes time," Kansas said as she followed them outside. Sam and Seth both turned towards her and then just walked farther into the woods, a few other boys and couple girls did too.

"They are going for a run, they'll be back in about twenty mins," Emily said to her as she knew what they were going to do and didnt want Kansas to be introduced into this just yet. too much too soon could be just that, too much too soon.

"Emily, I mean, he could of just been throwing my phone and it just happen to hit me. I shouldnt of went there but i did," she said as she sat to take a drink of wine. Her and Emily chatted and with in moments everyone was back.
