I tried to think of something, anything. But I was frozen, not knowing what to do at this point. They were slowly closing in on me. I closed my eyes for a brief second. Anger built up inside of me, and my eyes shot open. I charged at the guards. They didn't know what hit em'.

They all laid unconscious, on the floor, while I decided to continue running down the hall. I turned the corner, and there he was. Blood all over his clothes, hatred in his eyes, and a knife in his hand.

"I'm going to fucking kill you." I didn't know what to say. I didn't know what to do. Until I heard the voices in my head.

He wouldn't dare mess with a killer like you.

Is he trying to act tough? Ha! That's hilarious!

Kill him. Show him who really owns this hospital.

I stood there, smiling. He then realized that I was standing next to the light panel. My hand creeped into the panel, and flipped a switch, turning every light off in the hall.

The hallway isn't narrow, it's quite big, actually. Even though I know I can't see in the dark, I knew where he was and what direction he was facing. I quietly made my way toward him. My fist met with the back of his head, and he fell down.

He was knocked out. I flipped the light switch back on, and dragged him into the bathroom, and left him there for any takers. I decided to use the bathroom while I was already here. While I did my business, some guy walks up to me.

"H-hey. You're Alice, right...?" I slowly nodded. "Yeah?... Why?"

He looked back to see if anyone was listening. He turned to me and says, "I've got something for you."

I began to get a strange feeling. I finished up and walked to the sinks to wash my hands, and he followed me. "I'm not interested."

"Please? I know you'll love it!" I looked down at him. He seemed like he was going to trick me out of something. I leaned against the wall and crossed my arms. "What is it?"

"Uh, well... It's a secret..." I raised my eyebrow. "You really think I'm that dumb, huh?... Well, whatever this 'surprise' is better be good. Or else I'll beat you to a pulp."

He gulped and nodded his head. "Alice, I'm not trying to trick you. I've got something that will help you."

"Like what, exactly?" He motioned me to follow him into another room. We walked into a cleaning closet, locking the door.

"Okay, what do you have for me." He reached into his pants and pulled out a wet, brown bag. I cringed. "Good god, man. That's discusting."

He unrolled the bag, and placed three items on the floor. I looked up at him. "What are these?" He kept his eyes on the objects. "They're drugs."

"No, man. I don't-"

"They've already given you more drugs than your body can handle. It's either this, or whatever they putt in the needles." He handed me a small baggy with three little pills that looked like pieces of cereal...

"I'm supposed to take these?" He nodded. I wasn't sure about this. "I think I'm fine with needles now. I used to be terrified of them, and now it's different. So I think-"

"Take the pills." He sounded less nervous, and crazy. "Excuse me?"

"Take. The. Pills."
