It has been two months and finally Evan wants to know about himself. Then he knows all the people. Next is for him to know about the world, and school work, and how to be sociable. It may take a few years, but the recording is going really well, and this session after he learns about himself I might tell him, so he doesn't find it before I can tell him.

I skip along to my first class, Science. Mr Dunne is sitting on the desk, talking to everyone, telling them more about the competition. I slip into my seat beside Aria and get my books out.

"On the 26th of April, 2018, we will have a competition for all people welcome. You have two years to get your degree, learn a lot about science, and make your experiment. It can be about the brain, for instance amnesia, like Evan, it can be about gravity, anything scientific. I recommend making two experiments, in case one if them doesn't work."

He takes questions, but I'm not listening. I'm thinking about the second experiment and what I'm going to do. After the long lesson learning about all the different chemicals and carbohydrates in food, everyone else goes off to the cafe, or to their dorm to study. I do neither. I pad off towards the library, managed by the wrinkly Mrs. Mackenzie. I place my foot on a wonky step and it creaks, and she gives me a stern hard look, before hissing at me to be quiet.

I walk carefully on the wooden floor, feeling like I'm walking in a tightrope. I get to the science shelf and read through it, trying to look for an exciting experiment. I'm thinking on doing a study on the human body, as its very interesting, and nearly as good as the amnesia one, also they're kind of around the same subject. I study for an hour and then do four classes before running into the room to wait for Evan.

He walks in with a Troye Sivan top on, and black jeans. He shuffles towards me in his black converse.

"Hey Sam! Now, tell me about myself." Evan greets warmly.
I get myself comfy, flick my brown hair out of my face, and begin.

"Evan Coleman. 18 years old. In playschool you never really communicated with people much, so your parents had to confirm with the teachers that you could talk, you were just rather shy. Instead you'd grab you're favourite book, usually something about poetry, and read in a little corner whilst the others were playing in or outside. The only time you'd look up from your book was to grab a sandwich or to go to the toilet.

When you joined Junior infants, that's basically what you did there too. It was only first class when you finally agreed to socialize with people, and made a best friend called Owen, who we've already talked about. Some days, if Owen was lucky, you would play with him for little break, sometimes even big break. But mostly, you found yourself a bush in the yard, made sure no teacher was looking, and slipped in to read.

In second class, a boy called Zed Sherman came in, and after three weeks he started bullying  you and Owen. You moved school, then I got bullied, so moved to the same school you guys were going in. You were happy in your new school. In secondary, Owen was in another school, so you felt very alone. It was fourth year when you developed a great friendship with a boy called Titan. You got into college with 570 points, very impressive.

Your favourite colour is black, favourite band is Neighborhood, favourite singer is Troye Sivan. Your favourite animal is a panther, because you think they're very intelligent and excellent hunters. You're not very sporty, as you probably know, but if you had to have a favourite sport it would be running. You're very good at running, but its not your favourite thing to do. Other boys are sporty and friendly and adore girls, but you're different.

You're smart, you're a great poet, you love music, you're an excellent reader, you love guitar, you love piano. You're different, but I like you how you are, and so does Owen and your family.
Now please excuse me, I need to go to the toilet " I finish, and go off to the toilet.

I wash my face, getting out my calculator. Two months and we're done the people, knowledge probably take seven months, socialising probably six months, then we need to work on technology, and how the world is, and wildlife. He also needs to be aware of the water pollution and gay marriage legal. It adds up to a total of 2 years, just. That's perfect because of the competition, but sad for Evan because its so long.

I walk back to see Evan staring at me with disappointment, sadness, and anger. He's holding the video taper.

"What is this?" He spits. "Are you using me for some kind of experiment to win a prize?" Now tears form. "I'm a person, you know? I thought you were different Sam. I really did"
