"Come on, pup," I coo to Angus, lifting him out of the car and onto the ground. "Lets go see Evan."
Aria and Faith close behind, we walk into the place we have grown to love. College.
"Samantha! I'm so glad to see you back!" Says Ms.Brooke, the principal. She looks down at Angus and smiles. "Ah, I see that you've collected your little dog." She gets on her hunkers to pet him, then looks up at me. "Whats his name?"
"Angus," I say with a broad grin at the sight of Angus licking Ms.Brooke's face excitedly.
"Well hello, Angus. Pleased to meet you," Says Mr Marin, our science lecturer from behind us. He bends down too and shakes Angus's paw amusingly. "I hope you have a nice stay here."
"About that," I begin. "Evan and I will be moving out soon with Angus, so you can offer the room to someone else."
"Oh that's great news Samantha! When will you be moving out?" Ms. Brooke asks.
"Well today we're looking at houses, and we'll probably have to wait one or two weeks to see if we got the house or not, and then moving all of our stuff into the house will take a week or so, but we'll also have to get all the money we need, so I'd say in around a month." I reply.
"That's lovely, Sam. Congratulations!" Mr Marin nods.
"Thank you, Mr Marin and Ms. Brooke. We really must go now though, lovely talking to you!" I wave goodbye and walk upstairs to my dorm with Aria and Faith.
With one turn of a key we're back inside the dorm room. Everyone has long cleared out, bar Evan.
He opens up his arms and I happily walk into them, Angus happily running around us.
Evan bear hugs me and lifts me up off the ground a little.
"Evan," I gasp.
"Yeah?" He says next to my ear.
"You're crushing me!"
He gently puts me back down on the carpet, his hand on my waist.
He steps away and crouches down to Angus, letting the puppy slobbering over his face.
Evan laughs, now on the ground as he is being attacked by Angus."We better go now, Sam," Aria says, hugging me. "Bye!"
"Bye!"
They close the door behind them, leaving silence apart from Evan's contagious laugh.
I laugh along with him, lying down beside him.
"Hey," I smile, turning over on my side.
"Hey," he laughs as he turns over to face me.Angus wedges himself between us, seeming quite comfortable.
"Angus!" Evan chuckles, smiling down at our dog.
He leans in and kisses me shortly, before standing up to go to the bathroom.
I lie on my back and grin to myself. After all these years of secretly loving Evan, I can kiss him whenever I want, at any time. I don't have to hide from him at all, I can just be open with him and not be scared about him judging me. I can tell him I love him whenever I want.
Evan comes back in and I sit up.
"We need to look for houses," I remind him.A grin sneaks onto his lips. "I'm so excited to live with you,"
"Well you already kind of do," I say.He grabs my hands and pulls me up in front of him. "Yes but still,"
I grin up at him, my chin on his chest. I wrap my arms around his torso. "I'm excited too."
He hugs me back and we sway from side to side for a few moments.
"Right," Evan plants a kiss on my head. "Let's go!"
I clip the lead back onto Angus's collar and lift him up into my arms.
"Come on," I say to Evan, who is tying his laces.
"One minute!" He grins at me. He finishes the knot and then jumps up and walks towards me. He hugs me towards him from the side and opens the door.

"This is the one." I say solemnly. The house we stand in is a two bedroom bungalow with a wide garden, perfect for Angus to run around. It has furniture, but the walls are bare. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and bathroom, the other has a single, which we will probably use for storage, or for when friends come to stay. Everything works in it, which is good, and the kitchen has a dining table for four people, and it has a really nice sofa and television in the sitting room.
Evan grabs my hand and squeezes it tight. He nods at the guy showing us the house.
We get all the details sorted and are told to wait for a week to see if we get it.
Once we've left the house and thanked the man I hug Evan, hard. Once we separate he high fives me and laughs. We run around the empty road madly, yelling and laughing. We don't even know if we have it yet, we're just over-joyed that we've found a house that we love.
"We have to get back," I pant as we walk down the path, out of breath. "I have a lecture in an hour."
"Okay," he smiles down at me. He leans down to give me a kiss and then we walk hand in hand towards the car.
I lift Angus with me in the passenger seat. I place him on the floor and he settles down and closes his eyes. Evan shuts the door behind him and puts the key in. We put on our seat belts and start our drive back to college.
I place my hand over Evan's on the gear stick. He brings it up to his mouth and kisses my knuckles. "Love you,"
I grin. Even after all the times he's said it I always smile when I hear those two words.
"Love you too,"
"I'm so excited to move in with you," He says with a smile, turning on his indicator.
"Me too," I say, sighing dreamily. All I can imagine is waking up with Evan right beside me, cooking with him, and having fun with Angus. It sounds amazing.
I pop a chewing gum in my mouth before leaning back into the chair and closing my eyes.
~~~
I'm awoken with a pair of soft lips against my own. My eyes flutter open to be staring into Evan's see glass green eyes. I kiss him back for a few seconds then pull away and smile. "Let's go inside," I say.
He nods and jumps out. I copy his actions and lift Angus out of the back seat. I kiss his soft forehead and place him down on the floor. Evan drapes my handbag around my neck and takes my free hand.
We walk into the tall grey building, broad smiles on our faces.
