Uncontrollable sobs erupt from my mouth as my eyes lock onto the photo flashing on my phone screen.

Its a picture posted by one of Evan's friends. Evan went out last night, but I didn't think that he would ever do this to me. Ever.

Evan is kissing someone. More than just kissing. His hand is on her ass and her hand is tangled in his hair.

Aaron Micheals: Great night!

Evan Coleman: Take it down.

Aaron Micheals: @EvanColeman why?

Evan Coleman:  I don't want Sam seeing that.

Aaron Micheals: @EvanColeman she doesn't even have Facebook, chill.

Tears tumble down my face as I read the conversation under the photo. Aaron's right, I don't have Facebook, but Aria sent me a screenshot.

Angus jumps up next to me and licks my tears away ravenously, slobber all over my face. I laugh thickly, my throat clogged up, my head pounding.

I glare at Evan snoring across the room. I thought he loved me. This is not the closed off bookworm I fell in love with. I don't want to be near this impostor when he wakes up.

I pick Angus up and run out of my room, sprinting up the hall to Aria and Faith's room. The second I go through the door they stand up and hug me tight. I drop Angus and hug them back, crying into Aria's shoulder.

Once I'm released we sit down on Faith's bed, my best friends wedged right up beside me like bodyguards.

"I don't know how he could do this to me. It's just not like Evan at all." I wail, my eyes as big as grapes.

"I'm sure there's a really good explanation," Faith says. "You two were meant to be, I'm sure of it."

"But Faith, on the post he didn't tell Aaron to take it down because he wanted to tell me what happened instead of me seeing it, he asked him to take it down so I didn't find out," I hiccup.

"What are you going to do?" Aria asked, her big blue eyes filled with concern.

"I don't know," I cry, flopping back onto the soft bed.

"Ross." Faith says firmly. Since when were we on second name basis? "You are Samantha Ross. Not just any girl. Samantha effing Ross. OK? You are going to do something."

I sniff and sit up, wiping my nose with the back of my hand. "You're right."

"That's the spirit!"

"I just don't know if you should ask him about it straight away, or give him a week to tell him." Aria sighs, her hand on my shoulder.

"I think I'll give him a week," I say, rubbing my eyes  and straightening up.

"I have provisions!" Faith exclaims, rummaging through her stash and bringing out chocolate and every sweet possible, along with bottles of Coke and Vodka.

We laugh at her fondly. "I'm staying here tonight," I declare. "I'm not able to be near him just yet."

"Of course!" My two greatest friends in the whole world shout. I smile.

We climb into onesies and put on the scariest movies we could find. "The most important thing to do when you're upset is surround yourself with your best friends, eat chocolate and watch every scary movie ever to scare yourself out of your sadness!" Faith states matter-of-factly, munching on chocolate.

I giggle and lean into Aria and Faith, pulling every blanket on top of us.

After a lot of "Good Luck"'s from Aria and Faith, I head back to my own room, red faced and puffy eyed, still in my onesie. Evan's sitting at his desk, studying.

"Hey," he grins when he sees me. He has huge bags under his eyes and looks extremely hung over still.

"You look hung over," I say, no emotion on my face as I place Angus on the ground, watching as he runs to Evan. "Good night?"

Evan's expression changes from delight to guilt. "Yeah, it was alright."

I wait for him to elaborate, but he doesn't. "Were many of your friends getting with girls?" I push, testing how far I can press.

"Mm, a few." Evan looks back down to his book.

"How drunk were you?"

"Drunk," Evan quips, smiling at me. "Enough about me, tell me about you,"

He pulls me onto his lap and looks up at me with an adorable smile.

"I'm good, I stayed over at Aria and Faith's last night, it was good to talk."

"I'm glad you had a good time,"Evan grins, kissing me on the lips, before swiveling the chair over to his desk and writing down his notes.

I sit perched on his lap for a second longer, then climb off and sit on my bed. I study too for a few more hours, before I'm disturbed by company on my bed.

"Wanna get lunch?" Evan says, rubbing Angus's belly.

"Sure," I say, closing my laptop and books. I try to act as natural as possible, but really it's killing me inside how casual he's being. Why isn't he telling me?

"Tell me everything about the party," I say, swinging hands with him as we walk down the long corridor towards the cafe.

"Why are you so interested in the party?" Evan's mouth smiles, but his eyes don't twinkle like they usually do.

"I just wanna know how it went," I say sweetly, squeezing his hand. We reach the cafe and slide into the booth.

His smile fades for a second, then he slips the mask back on. "It was fine, just the normal party."

I drop the subject and let us carry on lunch in peace.

"I need to tell you something." Evan says when we get back.
