After this lecture we'll have the session. S. I texted to Evan, my fingers sliding over the keypad.
Yeah so at 4? He replied back.My fingertips tapped out the reply: Yep :)
I took down notes and listened for two hours, then the lecture was over.
Meet ya at my car? I text as I walk out the door.
Yup.I'm so happy that I'm back to doing the sessions with him, I really missed sipping hot chocolate while recounting on his life.
With my camera bag slung over my shoulder and my school books in hand, I reach the small purple mini that I possess.
I fumble through my pockets until my fingers find a cold metal key. I pick it up and click it into the car to open the vehicle.
I put in the Mamma Mia! CD on, hearing Dancing Queen. I sing along to Meryl, allowing myself to lose myself in the song as I was alone.
Slipping Through My Fingers comes on shortly, which I also sing along to. I get a bit emotional at a few bits, then quickly wipe my eyes as I see Evan exiting the building.
He swings open the car door and plonks himself down on the leather seats.
"Yo man, wazzup?" I hear myself say.
What??? Sam, control yourself. Speak properly. I say to myself.I don't have time to cover up my embarrassing slang, as Voulez-Vous comes on. I roar along, not singing properly because I have company.
"HELP ME! I HAVE A MANIAC IN THE CAR WITH ME!!!" Evan screams out the window.
I laugh through my singing, reversing the car out of the car park.We reach the new location, a library within a few miles from the college, very quiet, very comfortable.
I take the hot chocolate jar out and marshmallows and cups out if my bag.
"I brought provisions," I smile.
He giggles as we walked inside the library, then pushed open a door.Revealed to us was a cosy small room with cream squashy sofas and armchairs. There was a fluffy white carpet on the ground, and bookshelves laden with books leaning against the walls.
Once sat down on the squashy sofa, I take out the camera and set it on the bookshelf. I return to the sofa and take out the last item in my bag, a mini portable kettle.
"Your brilliant," Evan grins. I reflect his expression, then sneakily turn on my Mamma Mia! Spotify playlist. SOS sung by Pierce Brosnan and Meryl Streep turns on, causing me to dance around, laughing.
"OK, maybe your not so brilliant." Evan frowns. I laugh and drag him up to his feet to dance. We dance along, Evan loosening up and letting the music running through him. Slipping Through My Fingers comes on, and he pulls me closer, puts one hand on my waist, and waltz's us around the room.
At the chorus, he twirls me, then picks me up and spins me, causing me to clutch his neck for dear life.
At the guitar solo bit, he releases me and we both have an air guitar battle.
We get so in to it we start twirling on the ground, then stand up, eager for the next song to turn on.Lay All Your Love On Me comes on, and to twist it up a bit I play Skye and he plays Sophie.
I even do the frog jump, but off the counter.
When it's his turn to sing, he surprises me by having a good voice, and knowing all the words.
"We forgot about the hot chocolate!" He smiles. We share a laugh and then go to make the hit chocolate. We enter back to the room, the music still playing. I top the hot chocolate with marshmallows and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
"Cinnamon?" Evan wrinkles his nose.
"Trust me." I reply.
"Soz mate, I don't really." Evan chuckles to himself. He takes a wary sip. I see his face expression change from worry to pleasure.
"That is good!" Evan laughs. We start the session, me teaching him all the work. We have two distractions, the hot chocolate, and Meryl's gorgeous voice.
When The Winner Takes It All comes on, I drop everything at once and jump up. I gasp loudly, making Evan laugh. I grab his hand and pull him up.
"We've been working for two hours, we deserve a break!" I protest.Evan pulls me into slow dance position, where we sway slightly. We break apart at the chorus, which is when we opera sing, clutching spoons as a microphones.
"The winner takes it all! The game is on again, a lover or a friend, THE WINNER TAKES IT ALLLLLLLLLL!" I yell.
Our Last Summer flows through the room, causing us to dance, pretending to be Sam, Harry and Bill.
I pretend to be Bill, sticking out my tummy and putting my hair in a bun to make it look short.
Evan takes the role as Sam, singing the lowest note possible. He sticks on some sunglasses and acts exactly like him, making me fall into peals of laughter. When it goes slow at the end, our eyes lock. He takes a step closer, so my nose is almost touching his collarbone.
He cups my chin lightly and tilts my face up to meet his. He slowly leans in, until his lips meet mine. We hold the kiss for a few seconds, his hands brushing my hair lightly. We break apart and smile at eachother, then embrace in a hug.
His lips press against my forehead as we hug, my arms firmly around his torso.
A/N THEY FINALLY KISSED!!! HELL YEAH!! In this chapter there was a lot of Mamma Mia dancing, but I love Mamma Mia, so its allowed.
I said He giggled because in all the stories I read the girl giggles and the gut chuckles, so I decided to let the boy have a bit of a giggle. I really enjoyed writing this chapter, so I hope you enjoyed reading it!
(I listened to Mamma Mia while writing this)
