Chapter 21

Calum's POV

It's 3am and i'm laying in my bed starig at the ceiling thinking about what happened with Mel today. I should've watched her and i should have been the one that saved her not Luke. What does she think of me now? Is she gonna dump me? Calm down Cal you're just overthinking this. What if she likes Luke because he saved her? Luke wouldn't do that to me right?

In all the hours i've been awake i thought of something i could do to make it up to Mel but nothing has come to my mind yet. I have no idea what i can do.

Melanie shifts beside me and i look at her. She's laying on her stomach, her hair sprawled across the pillow but she's still beautiful.

Come on Calum just figure something out how you can show Melanie you only have eyes for her. I close my eyes trying to think of something but i can think of nothing. I pick up my phone deciding to call for help.

"Cal why are you calling at 3am? you're lucky i'm playing video games otherwise i would punch you" My game addicted best friend says and i smile at his words.

"Mikey i need your help" i breath out trying not to wake up the sleeping girl beside me.

"What's up dude?" He asks and i sigh.

"I want to take out Melanie on a date and show her i only have eyes for her but i can't think of anything." I whisper and i can something shuffle on the other end.

"Okay so i have an idea but you have to give me a second to explain everything" Michael explains and i nod but then I realise he can't see me

"Okay" i say.

Melanie's POV

I'm woken up by the bright light that is shining through the blinds, Damn you morning! I push my face into the pillow not wanting to wake up just yet. Wait where's Calum? I look at the spot beside me frowning when i see it's empty. I push myself up , getting out of my bed. Rubbing my eyes i walk to the living room. Michael and Calum are sitting there babbling away not even noticing my presence.

"Goodmorning" i mumble and both of their heads snap in my direction.

"Goodmorning babe" Calum says getting up and walking over to me.

"How did you sleep?" He asks wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my forehead.

"Like a baby and you?" I question looking up to the boy i call my boyfriend.

"I slept fine" he smiles but there's something behind that smile that tells me he didn't.

"I have a surprise for you" he says snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Oh and that is?" I say and he smirks.

"It wouldn't be a surprise if i told you" he smirks evily and i pout.

"Just get dressed and then we'll bring you to it" he smiles warmly and i nod.

He pecks my lips and i turn around running upstairs to get dressed. I pick out some black leggings and one of Calums shirts to wear on top of it. They actually were really comfortable. I rush over to the bathroom changing into the clothes quickly. I look in the mirror and jump a little when i see myself. Damn my hair is a mess and i have such big bags on my eyes. I brush my hair trying to get the tangles out of it. Damn i hate my hair sometimes. I apply some make-up not much though. I check myself in the mirror one last time before exiting the bathroom and skipping downstairs.

I'm so excited for this surprise. I never liked surprises that much but it's Calum so what could go wrong?

"Cal?" I call out but nobody answers.
"Anyone here?" I question but still no answer. I walk into the living room slowly hoping to see someone there. "Michael?" I question when i spot a black haired boy standing there in a superman suit.

"Shhh i'm not Michael , i'm Superman" he says and i giggle at his dorkyness

(is that a word?)

"I'm here on a mission" Mic-i mean Superman says with a low voice. I nod smiling excitingly.

"My mission is to take the young lady to her surprise destination" he speaks and i smile. This is all part of the surprise? What does this boy have planned?

"Follow me" Superman says heading outside and I sheepishly follow behind him. He walks over to Luke's car and opens the door to the passenger seat for me.

"You may enter the Batmobile i borrowed it from Batman" he smiles sheepishly and i giggle.

"Here you go Miss put this on" he hands me a blindfold and i laugh putting it on.

"Don't ask questions i won't answer them anyway" he says in a low voice and i chuckle. I hear the engine start and i sigh nervously.

"I'll put on some music to make it less awkward" Michael laughs and i hear All Time Low play softly in the background. After a 10 minute drive the car comes to a stop and i hear Mi-i mean Superman get out of the car. Did he leave? The door next to me opens and i get hit by wind in my face.

"Give me your hands" i hear a voice say but it's not Michael. I hesitantly stick my hands out in no direction in particular.

"Okay i'm leading you out of the car now" the voice speaks again and then i realise it's Luke.

"Luke?" I question and i hear a chuckle.

"No i am Batman" He speaks and i mentally roll my eyes at him. These boys take their job a bit too seriously.

"Now walk forward" Lu-I mean Batman says and i slowly take a step not trusting him fully. He guides me until we suddenly stop. There's no sound to be heard only the wind rushing next to my ears.

"Now is the time i hand you over to Spiderman but first you can take off your blindfold" he says and i take off the blindfold only to see i'm in a big building, probably a warehouse

I look in front of me to see 2 grinning boys one dressed as batman the other as spiderman.

"What are we doing here?" I question.

"This is the location of the surprise i just gotta take you to it. " Ashton or spiderman says and i nod understandingly.

"You guys aren't gonna kill me right?" I say playfully and they both laugh.

"We're superheroes we don't kill innocent people" Spiderman says and I smile.

"Now let's go" Spiderman grabs my arm and i walk next to him looking around me suspiciously. We walk for a bit through the creepy building and then Ashton abruptly comes to a stop.

"We're here" he says and opens a door revealing the roof

It has all these little lights set up, And a blanket with a picnic on the floor but the thing that stands out the most is the boy i call my boyfriend standing there in a white tuxedo, smiling like an idiot i walk over to him looking at this place in awe.

"Did you set this up?" I ask and he nods.

"With a bit of Superman, Spiderman and Batman of course" he chuckles and I join in.

"This is absolutely beautiful" i say in awe and turn to Calum to see his cheeks tint bright red.

"You hungry? I got us some pizza" he asks while he sits down grabbing my hands.

"Yeah actually I'm starving" i giggle while sitting down next to him. He hands me a slice of pizza and grabs one for his own.

"Thank you for this" i say leaving a sloppy kiss on Calum's cheek. I see him blush a little

"you don't have to thank me babe it's my pleasure" he smiles

This was gonna be a good day
