Chapter 28

Melanie's POV

'Surprise' is all I heard after The blindfold was taken away

I looked around the room and saw all these balloons and bright colours, i saw all my friends wearing birthday hats

"Happy birthday babe" someone from behind me said, I turned around and it was Calum

"What is all this?" I asked

"Well it's your birthday and I wanted to pull a big stunt" he laughed

"You scared the shit out of me" I complained as I hit his chest but he pulled me into a hug

"You still love me" he laughed

"Yeah yeah whatever" I smiled as he let go

I walked around to everyone and thanked them for coming, even though I didn't plan it.

"So what did you think?" Luke asked me

"I think this is good, but the whole capture thing, I didn't like it one bit"

"Well happy birthday Mel" Luke smiled as we face each and other a hug

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" Bianca yelled as she ran over and gave me a hug

"Awe thanks Bi" I replied

"its okay, lets get a drink and start dancing" she laughed.

we walked over to the foods and drinks table and grabbed two vodka cruisers. I walked around and just started chatting with everyone.

"Cake time" Tayler yelled out and Bianca pulled me up to the cake

I grabbed the knife and cut to the bottom, I turned around and gave Calum a kiss.

"Who wants a piece?" I asked, 6 people put their hands up so I divided the cake so we all had enough slices.

it was a fun night overall, drinking and talking with friends. I decided to walk outside for some fresh air.

"hey babe" a voice said from behind me

"hey Cal, thanks for this, everything its great" i smiled as he came behind me and gave me a hug.

"its okay babe, i would do anything for you" he whispered into my ear and kissed my cheek, i couldn't help but smile. he rested his head on my shoulder and i felt so happy, no words can explain the love i feel for this boy, yes i say boy because he isn't mature enough to be a man.

"wanna get out of here?" he asked

"why?"

"i don't know, just wanna spend some alone time with you" he whispered into my ear, i turned around to face him and i put my hands on his face

"Cal, i love you but i can't, im not ready yet Cal" i frowned and he laughed "what" i questioned

"im not talking about sex, im just talking about spending time with you" he smiled

"well, should we tell someone?" i asked

"nah, lets just go"

"but, wont people wonder why we are gone?" i asked

"they will understand" he laughed, "now, help me grab some drinks" he smiled, grabbed my hand and dragged me inside, we grabbed as much drinks as we could and left

"where do you want to go first?" he asked

"surprise me" i smiled at him, he nodded his head and we were off. we were walking for ages until we came up to this beautiful clear lake, we sat down on the waters edge and grabbed the first drink

"like it?" he asked as he opened my drink for me like a gentleman

"Cal, its beautiful" i smiled as i looked at the lake

"good" he smiled as he passed me the drink.

"Mel, you know i love you right?" he asked me

"yes of course, why?"

"just wondering"

"Cal, you know i love you right" i asked as i laid down and turned towards him

"yes, of course why?" he smiled as he laid down and pulled me towards him so my head could rest on his chest.

"just wondering" we laughed, we laid there and watched the stars in the sky, it was truly beautiful, in the streets and at our house you cant even see the stars but out here you can see them clearly

"Hey cal how far do you think we are from home?"

"i don't know but i think we are gonna need a taxi in the morning cause ive never been here before in my life" he laughed.

we kept talking until i drifted off to sleep, the last thing i faintly heard was Calum say 'you are the most beautiful girl ive ever seen' and i felt at peace.
