Chapter Twenty One: The Crystal Forest

 Steven's POV: *Reawakes.* Ughhh...Azurite? You there? (I exit the escape pod,with a pain in my body, only to see ourselves near a "Neon Lake". I see Azurite, sitting on the bank of the glowing water, I tried to walk a bit. But I realised that my left foot was sprained.) *Whispers* Dammit. HEY AZUR...Azurite. (I notice that she isn't listening.) -Azurite: Have you ever seen something so beautiful? (That question reminded me of Connie, I sit and cry. Realizing that the only person meant for me, was probably killed at Beach City.) Why are you crying?- My girlfriend is probably dead from spin injury. *Sobbing* -Azurite: Your.....girl.....friend. (She seemed like she all of a sudden became depressed.)- Hey, you alright? But, where are we? (I look around and see tons of crystal pillars surrounded with clouds and trees. I try to move forward, but Azurite stops me.) -Azurite: Oh my God, don't step on these!! (She catches a tiny glowing pebble.) These are where gems are naturally born.- I thought all gems were made on kindergartens. -Azurite: Only the ones built for one purpose, like war ,or engineering. (Her eyes start to glow like turquoise stars in space.) But the ones made to follow their own path, to dream of something bigger! They, are made in "crystal forests". You might not know this, but when the first war ended. to make sure that no more rebellions started. The purged us, said we were outcasts. Only this one remains hidden. That's why we wanted Yellow Diamond to die. So we could be free again from our extinction. Me and those guys tuat were near me. Are "Free Roamers", as they call us.- Woah!. Thank you, business we need to survive. -Azurite: The is rarley any food on any Homeworld.- WHAT?!?!?!?!? -Azurite: Why, whats the matter?- You woudlnt know this but, I'm a gem hybrid I need food, or I will die. -Azurite: Oh... OHHHHHH. You're the Rose child?!?! I have heard tales of your battle with Yellow Diamond. Never though I would meet you.- Thanks, but I might die if I can't get food. -Azurite: How about I teach you to generate energy from your gem?- I'm able to do that? -Zicorn: Yeah all you need to do is shapeshift energy inside your gem you should have a bank loads. Since commander Pearl told us you eat instead. Alot......tons...- Ok I get it, so I just shapeshift energy inside my gem?- Every one: Yes!!- You don't have to shout. (I remember all the shapeshift training i got from Amethyst. I put my consciousness into my gem, and generated a huuge turkey. This instantly shot me out of my gem. But, I felt completely full.)
