I follow the lady to a big white door with a golden handle. She opens the door and motions for me to go in.
I walk inside to a small room with a door on the other side.
"Go inside," she says, and that's the last thing I hear before walking into the next test.
The second door leads to a room smaller than the one that I just walked through. The room is empty except for a book bag and another door.
I walk over to the bag and cautiously open it. As I unzip it I see a bottle of water, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
I take out the sandwich and water to find a black sleeping bag and a flashlight, which I take out. The sleeping bag is soft and furry on the inside, and felt on the outside. The flashlight fits perfectly into my hand, and has a rubber grip on it.
I look inside of the bag in search of something else, but to no avail. The bag is empty except for the three things that I took out. As I put the items back into the bag the door on the other side of the room opens.
I stare at it for a moment, before walking out into a dark forest. The sky is pitch black with only a moon to illuminate it.
"Hey!" a voice from behind says, and I spin around to see Sophia standing there, a big smile on her face.
"Hi," I say to her and start to walk towards her. Her light brown hair is slightly swaying in the wind, and her face is shadowed so that I can only see her eyes.
"Where are we?" She asks me and I don't know how to respond.
"Um," I say and look behind me for the door that I came out of, which has now disappeared. "Where did the room go?" I ask her and she just shrugs her shoulders, "Well, I guess we need to find somewhere to stay," I say to her.
"Yea," she says and we pull out our flashlights.
As we walk we have to dodge trees, avoid animals, and pick berries, hoping that they are not poisonous. The sky lightened to a shade of blue, bright enough that we can put our flashlights away and still see the ground.
Finally, after walking for at least another thirty minutes we come across a tree that had fallen over. We look inside of the trunk and see that it is empty, and would make a good place to sleep and to rest.
Sophia and I take off our bags and climb inside of the bottom of the tree, dragging our bags behind us.
It is pitch black in the trunk, so I crawl carefully, putting my hands in front of me to make sure that I am not going to hit anything. As I crawl I feel something underneath of my hands, it feels rubbery and thin, covered in a sticky substance.
"Hand me my flash light," I say to Sophia, and she does.
I grab the flashlight with the hand that is in the sticky substance, and then click it on and shine it where my hand is.
In the beam of light is a person, so small that they could be six years old, lying there, covered from head to toe in blood, and on their chest a single rose lays there.
"Pocket full of posies," a soft voice says behind me, so quiet that I almost miss it, but at the same time it is so eerie that it sounds like something from a nightmare.
I turn around, right before Sophia releases an ear piercing shriek and is dragged out of the tree and out of my reach.
