We All Fall Down

     "Aria, run," Marcus says.

      "No," I say to him, trying to sound brave in an attempt to scare the soon to be attackers.

      "Leave me, I'm ready to die," he says to me and winks, giving me a sign that what he is saying is not actually true.

      "Okay," I say and nod my head then turn and start to run into a patch of trees into the left of Marcus and the three bodies.

      When I get in the patch of trees I break off a large branch and then start to run towards the people, making sure that they don't see me.

      I reach the body standing behind Marcus and swing back the tree branch. As I begin to swing the tree branch forward I am stopped by something holding me back. Quickly, I turn back and see Sophia standing there, eyes a mix of yellow and red.

      "Sophia," I say, not believing what I was seeing, refusing to believe what I was seeing. "You are not here, you are dead, I checked your pulse your dead," I spit into her face.

      "Oh, I am here, I am alive. The scientists brought me back, under one condition; I get to kill you," she says and pulls a gun out from her back pocket. "Say goodbye Aria," she says and puts the gun to my head.

      "Sarah, I know that you aren't alive, I know that you are dead, and I know that even though you are dead and even though you are holding a gun to my head, that you will not pull the trigger, because you can't," I say to her, confident in what I said.

      "Really, you think I can't pull the trigger?" she asks me and then points it at one of the burned bodies, who, along with Marcus, are all staring at Sarah's body and I.

      "Is this who died with you?" Marcus asks me and I nod in response.

      "Aww, is this your boyfriend? It's so nice to know that you moved on after I died. He's cute too, it's too bad that both of you are going to die," Sarah taunts.

      "What makes you think that we are going to die?" I ask Sarah, waiting for the right time before I move.

      "The fact that I'm not afraid to pull the trigger," she says and pulls the trigger, shooting one of the burned bodies that surrounded Marcus.

      As the body falls I know that it is time to run and fight back. "Now!" I scream to Marcus and I spin around, causing Sarah to let go of me, and I kick her in the face, making her scream and fall to the ground as she clutches her face.

      "Now you're really going to pay, I was just going to shoot you before, but now I'm going to make it nice and painful," she mutters and gets up.

      To my right, Marcus grabs the knife from the body that Sophia shot and stabs the two other knife holding bodies in their chests, making them moan before convulsing and falling to the ground. "You were already dead, I'm just finishing the job," he says and the bodies stop moving. "That was surprisingly easy," he says and turns to me and Sophia.

     "Aria look out!" he says and I turn to see Sophia's gun hitting the side of my head. My vision starts to turn black, and my head feels as if it is going to explode. I moan from the pain, and want to pass out, but at the same time I know that if I do that I might not survive. "Marcus, kill her," I say before I pass out.
