Marcus, Sarah, and I all walk away from the person that I just killed, none of us saying anything until I need a break from walking.
"I need to sleep, I haven't had a nap since we got here and I'm exhausted," I say to them and stop walking. "I don't care where we sleep or who takes first watch, but I need some sleep."
"I do too," Sarah says and we both look at Marcus.
"Okay, I'll take first watch," Marcus says and sits down against a tree.
I sit against a tree across from Marcus, and Sarah does the same on the tree next to me. For the first time since I got here, I close my eyes and allow myself to be taken away into the darkness that was my subconscious.

I wake to the sound of something burning. As I open my eyes I see that Marcus and Sarah are asleep, and the three of us are encased in a circle of fire that is gradually getting smaller.
"Guys wake up," I say and run over to them, trying to shake them awake.
As they wake up and smell the fire their eyes open and soon they are on their feet, looking for a way out of the fire.
"Um," Marcus says and looks up at the trees that are now on fire. "How are we going to get out of this?" he asks.
"Guys, your water bottles!" I say and take the bottles out of their bags and throw it onto the fire, which puts a small part of it out. "Come on!" I say and run out of the ring of fire, Sarah and Marcus right behind me.
We run out of the fire before Sarah speaks, "That was all of our water," she says and looks at me angrily. "Now where are we supposed to get water? Have you seen any rivers here? No, because there probably aren't any. We should have let you die before," Sarah yells to me, spitting with each word that comes out.
I am both hurt and angry at the same time. "We could find more water, but what we can't find more of is people. The only people that I have run into are the killers and my only friend who is now dead, plus that little girl who I found dead in that log," I yell at her.
"Guys, stop! This isn't going to help, the water is gone and so is your friend. Aria is right, we need to find some other people, it will give us a better chance of survival," Marcus says as our eyes dart back and forth between us.
"You're right Marcus, we should find other people, me and you that is. I'm not going anywhere with her," she says and looks at me with a disgusted look on her face. "She wasted our only water."
"I saved your life didn't I? Last time I checked saving your life isn't a waste of water," I say to her.
"Come on Marcus, we are going to find someone else, without her," Sarah says and turns away to start walking.
"This isn't going to help any of us, all it is going to do is just get us all killed," Marcus says angrily.
"Well if she isn't going to do anything with me then I might as well just leave," I say to Marcus and look at Sarah, who is now standing with her back turned to me, waiting for Marcus and listening to what I say at the same time. "I'll just leave, I don't want to get you two killed," I say to Marcus and turn to leave.
"No," Marcus says and grabs my arm.
I shake his hand off and start to walk away, not turning back because I know that if I do that I will go back to them.
