I wake and see Marcus laying there on his stomach, arms pinned behind his back with Sophia sitting on top of him, holding the gun to his head.
"Sophia," I mutter and slowly start to get up. "Don't," I say and stand up weakly, legs wobbling as I try to regain my balance. My head throbs even worse than when I was laying down, and I can see the blood from the wound dripping down the side of my face, heading towards my right eye.
"Oh look at that, you want to save your boyfriend," she says and takes the gun off of Marcus's head and waves it casually around. "You know, I think I will kill him first so that you can suffer more."
"If you kill him again I swear I will kill you, again anyway, since you are already dead," I say to her and she just smirks at me.
"I may be dead, but I have never felt more alive," she says to me and laughs. "Killing people, ending their lives, it's so exhilarating."
"Sophia what happened to you, it's like when you, or anyone else, comes back then all you want to do is just kill and cause the living pain," I say to her.
"That's because we already died, and you guys didn't. It's not fair, if anyone should have died then it should have been you two," she says and laughs at me, "Now if you will excuse me I have to find a way to make your boyfriend suffer," she says and continues to laugh.
"I'm not going to let you, if anyone is going to die then it is going to be you, not us. It isn't my fault that you died, you didn't fight back hard enough, I did," I spit at her. "It's your fault your dead, not mine."
"IT"S NOT MY FAULT! IT"S YOUR FAULT!" Sophia screams at me, clearly getting annoyed. "I was not the cause of my own death, but I will be the cause of his death," she says, calming down and motioning towards Marcus.
"Sophia we were friends when you were alive, but since you're not now, then I won't feel bad about killing you," I say to her and lunge at her, the impact knocking her off of Marcus. I manage to get on top of her and knock the gun out of her hand.
Marcus gets up and grabs the gun, then runs over to me and puts it to Sophia's head.
"Pull the trigger," I say to Marcus, and he does. "Sorry, actually I'm not," I say as I get off of Sophia's body.
Marcus looks down at Sophia's body with a guilty look on his face.
"She wasn't herself, she needed to die or else she would have killed us," I say to him, unsure of why he had a guilty look on his face. He killed three other people, that I know of, so why did this one bother him so much?
"I know, but she was your only friend and you already watched her die, and you just watched her die again," he says and looks at me with a sad face.
"She wasn't herself, and I knew that, Sophia's body may have died again, but Sophia's real self didn't. I don't know what she was just then, but she certainly wasn't herself," I say to him, trying to make him, and partially me, feel better.
"I know," he says and then starts to walk.
I follow him, unsure of where he is heading. "Where are you going?" I ask him.
"To get some sleep, we both need it, and since everyone that we know already died again, we might as well sleep at the same time.
"Okay," I say, excited to get some sleep.
We head to a small patch of grass surrounded by a circle of rocks and lay down. As soon as my head hits the ground I am asleep.
