A/N: Agent Ohio I saw those comments... You should know that I'm always up for a Wash x Reader!

You ran your hands through your hair.

I'm not a monster. I just followed orders, like a good soldier... You kept thinking to yourself.

You used to be an Insurrectionist, then a mercenary. In the wake of your path, hundreds of dead souls lay.

"Just... Orders..." You said shakily, looking in the mirror. You looked in the mirror, at first seeing the (h/c) you, with fading scars and no piercings. A second later, you saw the Insurrectionist/ merc you, with the piercings, many scars, and (f/c) dyed hair.

You slid to the floor in defeat. You heard Washington walk in, since he had a key.

"Hey, (Y/N)!" He called.

"In the bathroom," you called back, though it wasn't strong.

Wash came over and saw you on the ground and he knelt next to you. "Hey, what's wrong?"

"I-I..." You looked at the wall and sighed. "I'm a monster, Wash."

Before he could open his mouth, you went on.

"I've killed hundreds of people, in-including some of your friends."

Washington slid over to you and wrapped you in a hug. "I know. I know how it feels," he said quietly as you cried into his shoulder.

"But let me assure you," he continued, "you are not a monster..."

You looked up at him and he wiped a tear from your face.

"... You're my best friend."
