Simmons x Reader: Geeks Unite! (High School AU)

Simmons was always a geeky person, always loving math and science and history. Everything fascinated him.

He also loved comics, computers.... Anything like a normal geek would.

You were one of the semi-popular... Like a drifter, almost. You hung out with multiple groups; the clique of your class, the gaming girly girls, the tomboys.

But you were secretly a geek.

No one knew that your favorite DC character was (Fav DC Character like Batman) or that your Marvel would be (A Marvel character like Ironman). They didn't know that you loved all video games, from Minecraft to Call of Duty to Assassin's Creed to Destiny to Just Dance.

God forbid, if they found out, you'd be treated like an outcast.

You walked to your next class: study hall. You shared it with a few people, some geeks, some cool.

You put your stuff down pulled your hood over your head and pulled out a comic book.

"Hey, (nickname)!"

You looked up to see Bree, a popular girl from your class.

She walked over, flipping her blonde hair over her shoulder. "What're ya reading?"

"A magazine," was you instant reply.

She glanced at the comic book, with your hands over it, trying to hide it.

"Why does it look funny?" She asked. Then, Bree reached forward, ripping it from your grip.

"Bree! Give it back!" You snapped, standing.

"(Y/N) has a comic book? That must mean... That she's a geek!"

Your face turned red.

"Tell us, (Y/N), are you really a geek?" A boy stood beside Bree.

You looked down. "Maybe," you whispered.

The "popular" kids started laughing. You glared at them, grabbed your stuff, and went to sit beside a redhead boy with a few freckles.

"Mind if I sit here?" You asked him.

He glanced up a book. "S-Sure."

You sat down, taking your comic book out. "There's no need to stutter. I'm just a girl."

"That's th-the reason. I stu-stutter when talking to girls."

"Oh."

The two of you were silent for a while. Then, the boy said, "You like comics?"

You nodded. "Yeah. Sort of a geek." You glanced to the floor.

"So am I! I'm Simmons, by the way."

"(Y/N)," you smiled at Simmons.

"Geeks unite!" Simmons laughed.

You laugh as well. "Geeks unite!"

Alright so I wasn't clear about the date that the contest would end. I'll announce the date once there are 5 entries. If there aren't any entries within a few weeks, I'll call the contest off. I'll tell you guys if I call it off.
