Niall:

I woke up to someone banging on my hotel door. I stood up in my boxers and walked to look out the peephole. There were three or four unfamiliar faces standing on the other side in bikinis. I rolled my eyes and walked back to my bathroom. I started the shower and let the cool water crawl down my back. I remembered Laney’s cold delicate fingers in my palm and her warm hazel eyes that made my insides float.

I wrapped the fluffy towel around my waist and walked out into my room. I grabbed a pair of jeans and a green t shirt from my suitcase along with a pair of calvin klein boxers. I put them on and then added some socks and white supras. I picked my blackberry off my bed and clicked on Laney in my contact list. I stared at it for a while before throwing it back on my bed. I walked to the hotel phone and ordered a huge load of breakfast, I was starving. A few minutes later there was a knock on my door and I answered it to a feast. I sat on the couch and dug in.

It was a little after 11 when I finally gave into texting Laney

Niall:

Hey it’s Niall, are you clumsy?

I waited impatiently for a reply. When her name lit up on the screen I felt a smile creep onto my face.

Laney:

What are you talking about? Haha.

Niall:

Nevermind, wear socks.  I’ll be there in an hour.

Laney:

I’m nervous. But okay!

I stood up and tucked my phone into my pocket. I found Josh sitting on the couch doing something on his laptop. “I’ll be back later, if the lads are looking for me tell them I’m out.” He nodded without looking up from his computer. My black snapback was on the couch beside him. “Hey, throw me that hat.” He started to laugh and tossed it to me. I plopped it on my head, took one look in the mirror and walked out the door.

I walked to Paul’s room and knocked on the door. He came to the door and I scratched the back of my neck. “What is it Niall? Is something wrong?” I looked up at him and shook my head with a grin. “Not at all, I just need my keys.” He had to hold our keys so we didn’t sneak out late at night. Harry was the master of that. Paul led me into his room and to a bowl on the table. He reached in and grabbed out the keys to my silver BMW. He started to hand them to me and then pulled them away. “Don’t do anything stupid.” He said with a deep laugh. I nodded and grabbed the keys from him walking away with a thank you.

I walked out of the hotel without being caught by any fans and climbed into the drivers side of my car. I had bought this car specifically for America and I was glad I did. I plugged Laney’s address into my GPS and started the engine. As I drove down the streets to her house I thought about the movies. I thought about the sweet smell that lingered in the air as she left the theater. I thought about when she handed me her soda. I thought about the minute I met her eyes and tried to push down a smile. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. It was Josh.

Josh:

You left your wallet on the bathroom sink.

My stomach sank. I was twenty minutes from the hotel now but I needed my wallet. I rubbed my forehead and prepared myself to turn around. I watched the time tick by and thought of how bad it would look if I was late. I tried to breath slow, act calm. When I pulled up in front of the hotel I sprinted to my room and grabbed my wallet as fast as I could. The second I got back in my car my phone buzzed again.

Laney:

Did you get lost? Lol

I rolled my eyes but couldn’t help but laugh. I quickly replied as I started back toward her house.

Niall:

Err… sort of. :)

Laney:

Haha see you soon.

I threw my phone onto the passenger seat and turned down her street. I passed an array of colored houses with pathways to the steps and then I stopped at number thirty seven. I parked in front of her white mailbox with Foster printed on the side. I let a sigh slip past my lips and undid my seatbelt. I grabbed my phone and headed to the door.

I pushed a small blue button and within seconds the door was pulled open. A little boy stood in the doorway. He looked about two with short blonde curls and huge hazel eyes. He smiled at me and ran off. I waited in the door way and Laney appeared before me within the next minute. Her hair fell halfway down her back in beachy waves. She was wearing a pair of light shorts and a pink striped top. On her feet she had a pair of grey low top converse and she was wearing a braided anklet.

“Ready?” she asked, showing off her cute little teeth.

“I am if you are.” I said grinning. She nodded and we walked to my car. I opened her door and she crawled in. I got in on the other side and started the car.
