Lily's point of view:
Marlene had been in the the worst mood ever since the party last night. She was trying her hardest to cover up how much she was hurting.  Marlene had left the room.
"I'm really worried about her." Alice whispered.
"I am too." I whispered back. "Any ideas on how to cheer her up?"
Alice's face lit up. "I've got it! We could set her up with someone else to get her mind off Sirius."
"Perfect." I whispered just as Marlene walked in.
"What are you two smiling about?" Marlene asked.
"Nothing." I answered quickly. "Ready for breakfast?"
"Yeah let's go."
As we walked to breakfast I scanned the students looking for possible boyfriends for Marlene.
Shortly after we sat down James, Remus, Peter and unfortunately Sirius decided to sit across from us.
"Hi guys." Peter said.
"Good morning."  Remus said without looking up from his book. His was pale and looked like he hadn't slept in days.
"Hello beautiful." James said handing me a flower.
"Thank you." I said blushing. Alice giggled.
The flower looked strangely familiar.
"James, where did you get this?" I asked.
"I snatched from on of the greenhouses." He said looking pleased with himself.
Marlene and Sirius didn't acknowledge each other. It was strange, normally whenever they were in a room together they joked and teased each other. Their silence was uncomfortable for everyone.

Marlene's point of view:
I was spreading jam on my toast and glancing at Sirius out of the corner of my eye.
"Can you pass me some toast Marlene?" Sirius asked in a cold monotone.
I can't remember the last time he called me by my first name. I looked up at him in shock. His attention was focused on blonde girl who was waving at him flirtatiously. My face grew red.
"Sure." I said. I threw the piece of toast smothered in jam directly at his head. It left smears strawberry jam across the side of his face. He looked at me angrily.
"Sorry." I said grinning wickedly.
Sirius grabbed the butter off the table and flung it at me. It landed in my hair and my face reddened with anger.
"Sorry." Sirius said smirking.
I was furious. I leaned over the table and poured the entire container of syrup over his head.
Our friends watch helplessly as we pelted each other with every food on the table.
"STOP!"
We turned to see professor Magonigal frowning at us.
"I want to see the two of you in my office NOW!" She shouted.
Sirius stuck his tongue out at me as we left the great hall.
When we got to Magonigal's office I crossed my arms, sat in one of the chairs and glared at the wall. Sirius cleared his throat behind me.
"What?" I snapped, whipping my head around.
"You're in my chair." He said pointing to were Sirius Black was carved into the wood of the chair. I rolled my eyes. Magonigal entered the room scowling.
"Sit down Mr. Black." She said.
Sirius slumped into the chair beside me.
"I wouldn't have expected this from you Miss Mickinnon." She said.
"What about me?" Sirius asked smirking. He knew he was one of the first people she'd expect to do something like this.
"You will both have detention tonight. Now go get cleaned up and head to class."

Sirius's point of view:
I walked down the corridor to detention humming to myself. James and I much have set a record for the most detentions. We were serving detention with Professor Slughorn. He was sitting at his desk grading papers when I walked in. I sat at the desk beside Marlene. Already bored I started drumming my fingers on the desk.
"It seems I've forgotten some things. In going to my office. Wait here, I will return shortly." Professor Slughorn said and left.
I looked over at Marlene. A curtain of platinum blonde hair fell in her bright blue eyes. Her cold silence was driving me mad. I stood up and stretched.
"I'm sorry I was being such a prat. I guess I deserved to get punched." I said.
A smile crept across her mouth.
"I'm sorry too." She said.
She came closer. She cupped my face in her hands and rubbed my cheek with thumb.
"You've got a little bit of jam right here." She said softly. She smiled. She had a smile so bright it could make the stars jealous. She was all I could think about all the time.
I kissed her. Her blue eyes widened in surprise and she kissed me back. Her lips were soft and sweet.
"Black." She whispered against my lips.
"Mickinnon." I whispered back.
"You really are a good kisser." She whispered.
"You're pretty good yourself."
I'd never felt anything like this. It felt perfect. It felt real.
I rapped my hands around her waist. I felt her run her hands through my black hair. I picked her up and put her on the desk, snogging her intensely. My heartbeat echoed in my chest.
We didn't hear the doorknob turning.
"Sir I had a question about---" some began.  Severus Snape was standing in the doorway gapping.
"Can I help you?" I said annoyed.
"I'll come back later." He said and left.
"Where were we Mickinnon?" I asked with a smirk.
"Right about here." She said kissing me once again.
"We should really do this more often." I said, smirking again.
