To China, family is everything. Everytime of one his siblings left him and gained independance, he cried his eyes out. When Japan left him, that little boy he found in the field, he simply went distant and never talked to anyone. Time skip to a few (I think hundreds of) years later, when WWII started, he came back out of his shell, even though it broke his heart to fight his ex-'little brother'.
