The Nugget Love

"You're a chicken nugget," She whispers with as much assertive emotion as she could muster. "I could never love you." A tear fell from her eye, landing on her processed friend. "But, I thought we had something. I thought we'd be together. Forever." The lump of meaty deliciousness choked out to his lover, a human girl named Lisa. "And we did. Oh, Fernando, how I loved you. I'm sorry." Lisa spoke to the nugget. "For what?" He asked, worried what the answer would be. "For what I'm about to do. Please forgive me..." Fernando heard those words just before the crushing weight of Lisa's teeth pushed down on his middle. It was excruciating, but he knew she had to do it. How could anyone resist a chicken nugget with his likeness? Besides, he was already getting cold. His love for Lisa remained through his final moments. Lisa was truly sorry for killing him, but he was too delicious. She couldn't help it. The couple's last few minutes together was spent in silence, but their love for each other.
