Operation

It was morning time when I opened my eyes. The curtains L.P. t were wide open and the sun was bright. I looked over to see Rosa sprawled out on the bed like a child. Though I used to be annoyed when she did that, but now I thought it was highly adorable. She had one hand in my boxer briefs, which I just noticed. She mumbled the words "its mine" under her breath and gave me a gentle squeeze. I just chuckled.
I slowly moved her hand and got out of bed. I walked into the kitchen and started making myself some eggs and cereal. Once I got done with the eggs,Rosalin walked in saying how hungry she was. I laughed and started making her some eggs and waffles. She didn't want cereal, which was odd cause she loves it. We sat at the table talking and making fun of each other.
After about 20mins of aimless talking I called Jones. He didn't answer the first time. I called again and this time it rang twice and went to voicemail. The third time I called he answered. He sounded angry and annoyed.
"You called?" He said plainly. "Yeah I called you 2 other times and now you answer." I replied.
He didn't say anything so I kept talking. "Have you found a doctor that I can go to?" I asked him. When I said the word doctor I noticed Rosa's eyes look at me. She even stopped eating her cereal. I saw she mouthed the words what doctor to me. I had to ignore her to listen to what Jones was saying.
"I found a doctor who will do what you want, but his price isn't cheap." He said. "How much are you talking?" I asked him. "Well....about 100,000 minimum." He said. "Oh well that's not as much as I thought. I can pay that easily." I replied. "So how sin can he get me in?" I asked. "As soon as you want, just let me know."He said. "Right on, tomorrow then." I replied before hanging up.
I looked up and could see fear in Rosalin's eyes. I already knew what she was thinking so I answered her question before she could ask it. "It's not the same doctor. No need to worry about me. I'm just having problems with my hands that's all." I told her reassuringly. She nodded and held up her plate in a motion for more food. I gave her more food before I walked out.
I went to go get ready for work and it was a normal day. Traffic stops, then paperwork, robberies and more paperwork. The day fled quickly or so I thought. I was just nervous about tomorrow. I was driving home and Jones called me.
"Hello?" I asked. "It's confirmed."He said. "You can have the operation tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. And remember no eating or drinking!" He said sternly. 6:00 is kind of early I thought. "Got it." I replied and hung up. I arrived home and Rosa was already sleep. I didn't have anything to do since I couldn't eat. So I laid next to her and fell asleep also.
My phone began vibrating rapidly at 5:30 in the morning. I knew what I had to do. I got up out of bed,schlepping around the house trying to move fast enough to get ready. I did my duties and doodies and left the house. I drove all the way across town to meet with the doctor. His building was a old, run down apartment. I walked in the lobby and he was standing there.
"My name is Doctor Roberts." He said with a smile. I shook his hand and replied with "Jacob." He explained to me step by step how this was going to happen. A x-ray first, then medicine, and lastly the 2hr operation. I didn't think it should take that long, but he's the doctor. We got in the elevator and walked into apartment room 2b. There was a military grade, state of the art X-ray machine in there.
"You obviously must make a lot of money." I said jokingly. He shook his head,"these are gifts my friend." I was astonished. He sat me down and placed my hands on the machine. "Who in the world are your friends?" I asked him. He smiled and said "I was the top military doctor for 40yrs, then I was released and tried to work for regular hospital, but they wouldn't accept me." "They are done, let's get your medicines." He told me pointing to the door.
He grabbed an IV and placed it into my arm. Later he put some medicine in it. He said it was too make me less nervous. All it did was make me goofy,I bursted into laughter. "You're ready" he said smiling.
We walked to the operating room. I bumped into every corner there was. It felt like 50. The operating room was so shiny, almost blinding. He laid me down and placed the mask over my face. Before I knew it,I was sleep then awake again. Time really flew by.
"How do you feel Jacob?" He asked. "I feel perfectly fine,a little sting in my hands but that's it." I replied. He stepped up to me and his face grew serious. "What are you?" He demanded. "You almost killed me, your body let out thousands of bolts of electricity like you were protecting yourself. You even woke up, but you're eyes were not normal." He said. I knew exactly what happened. Damn you Hajìkú, this will make us stronger I began thinking. I tried to get up but I was cuffed to the bed.
"Not until you answer my questions boy." Dr Roberts said. Then I used my new ability and the cuffs began undoing themselves. Dr. Roberts looked at me in fear. I walked over to him, handed him the money and left. I didn't say a word because I knew he wouldn't believe me. I walked out the building and into my car. I began driving home, not to start my day, but to go to sleep.
