Jacob the Electric

    I woke up to the sound of fire trucks and police cars. I opened my eyes slowly and could see a small part of the hospital on fire. It was on the same floor as my room. I tried to sit up and go save those people, but I'm more drained than I was before. I don't even remember what happened. I only remember falling.
   "Sweetie are you okay?" I heard a voice ask. It was Rosalin. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine I think. I thought I did,I fell out the window." I told her. She signed,"yeah and I rushed to catch you." I nodded and smiled at her. I could see a small cut on her cheek. I reached my hand forward and she stopped me. "A falling piece of glass got me, no worries." She says smiling.
   I looked around and saw people coming from inside the building covering their mouths. Some were coughing. A couple of nurses were taken in an ambulance to another hospital. How could I not stop this I wondered. A emt guy came towards me asking me questions and examining my body. Then he recognized my face, somehow. He ran off and came back with the chief firefighter and a stretcher.  
   "What happened son?" The chief asked. We began to roll away, leaving Rosalin behind. "There was a explosion." I told him. We just stared at each other. I broke our awkward silence. "Before it happened,I heard another one in my head, like I could see it before it happened." He raised his eyebrows in shock. "When the real explosion happened,a machine came flying through my door and throwing me into the window. Then a voice,a mysterious person said they were going to finish me off. I was picked up and kicked out the window, then I blacked out in mid air." I told him before grabbing my head.
   Before we got into the ambulance I heard someone yell out at me. "Hey, Jacob the Electric are you okay?" All of a sudden a flood of people came running towards me. The chief and the EMT guy began pushing me faster to get into the ambulance. We got inside and I looked at the chief in confusion.
   "It's your hero name I suppose." He said handing me a paper. I was on the front cover flying. Then he showed me a video some guy got. It was me shooting the ladder to make it move. "I guess I'm this city's hero now. I'm just a cop." I shouted. The chief grabbed my shoulder,"Not anymore, you're not." I didn't know weather to be excited or angry.
   We were driving and I noticed that I'm actually fine and I don't need to be here. I could have sat up but this stretcher has me strapped down. "Where are we going?" I asked aloud. "To another hospital." The driver replied. "But I'm not hurt,I just need to recharge with energy. Take me to a power plant " I whined. The driver was hesitant, then he listened. When we arrived, they let me out and I ran towards a large transformer. I touched it and began absorbing the electricity. That feeling of pure energy flowing into my veins, still the best feeling ever. After about 30 seconds,I was completely revived.
   I looked at the guys and nodded before shooting off into the air. You could hear sound coming from behind me. I feel like I've gotten faster I thought. I flew all the way home. As soon as I opened the door, my phone began ringing. I turned the t.v. on to the news first before I answered.
    "Hello?" I asked. "I hope you liked my little present my friend. It was meant especially for you." A voice said. "You damn doctor, what present are you talking about?" I yelled furiously. "You mean-you don't, never mind buddy old chap. Just know that I, well we, started the fire." He replied. Then he just hung up. What is wrong with that guy.
    Night time came around and the news was finally showing today's events. I looked at the t.v. and they showed the hospital. There was a still a little bit of smoke erupting from the top and a hole in the wall. Then out of nowhere, the whole place collapsed. The people began running away. The news lady was screaming. And standing on top of the rubble was a man wearing a black trench coat,a black mask, and black leather gloves. I instantly recognized him. It was the doctor. Then it dawned on me that Rosalin never came home.
