Sorry, walang tips or tricks ang sagot. This is the long way to go.
I get this question a lot. Hindi lang sa Wattpad -- lahat ng nasa publishing ito ang iniisip. Some suggestions that will always work, at least for the long term:
1. Write something that people will enjoy. Ito siguro ang pinaka-importanteng role ng writer, so if you're not sure what this means, then read more, study more. Kung gustong maging writer, matutong magsulat, bago tanungin kung paano ba sumikat.
2. Read and contribute to the community that you want to be part of. Kung sa Wattpad gustong makahanap ng reader, magbasa din sa Wattpad. Tangkilikin ang mga story na gusto mo. Read and support stories that you believe are BETTER than yours. If you want the community to have a reputation of having good quality, then support the stories that are good quality.
3. Try not to ask people who have never heard of you to read your book. Kasi...bakit? Ang dami kong ibang pwedeng basahin. Bakit ko babasahin ang story mo?
Pero kung mahusay kang magsulat, at naiintindihan mo yung gusto ng readers (either dahil sa natural talent, or dahil natutunan mo to after reading the good stories), then maybe you'll be able to write something that people will enjoy. And they will want to read it without being forced to.
