I apoligize big time for the wait! I kept slacking off on the writing and not to mention got some writers block there for a moment. Well I hope you like it!

----------------------------------

When I wake up I’m immediately I the shower and getting ready, I dress in a black dress that comes down to my knees, not to tight, but not to loose. I wear minimal make up and pull my hair into a donut bun. I wear black flats with a bow on the toes and leave. When I reach the kitchen I find everybody scurrying around getting thing prepared. We have a meal set for after the burials.

I smell roast, mashed potatoes, baked spaghetti, and there is going to be burgers and hot dogs as well. Once I have the food checked off that a pack of 400 will be able to eat, I go and move on to the floral arrangements, I find everything perfect. 100 roses were delivered. One for everybody who lost a loved one and one for the dead, I soon move onto the cemetery, planted on the farthest corner, south of our territory.

Once I reach there I find all the places of those to be buried are dug up. And the gravediggers are waiting for us to bring us the dead to cover them back up in dirt. That was the final thing on my list; all I have to do is make sure the bodies of the dead have been preserved correctly. On my way back Nick’s beta is in between Eric and Mark.

“He wouldn’t leave Jasmine along” Mark growls tightening his grip on his arm. I turn towards this beta and look him over. He doesn’t seem like a real threat, but I’m curious about that look in his eye. I can’t quite tell what it is though.

Jasmine where are you? I ask her through the mind link. Mark seems to look a little guilty.

Oh hey Jen, I’m just locked up because Mark doesn’t like my mate! Jasmine snaps in my head. I sigh heavily and look at mark.

“Let him go” I say sternly, the look of relief on this guys face is impeccable.

“What?” Mark says in disbelief, “oh, you talked to Jasmine” he mumbles under his breath. Eric punches in his arm saying something along the reigns of ‘I told you so’. For what I don’t know, they leave me alone with Nick’s beta. But I know Mark is watching his every move. Over protective brother if I do say so myself.

“So, Nick’s beta right? What’s your name?” I ask while Mark goes and gets Jasmine.

“I’m Drew, and yes I’m Nick’s beta” a knowing look in his eye, “And I’m Jasmine’s mate,” he adds smiling. We shake hands and Jasmine is fuming mad. I can feel it coming off her with what her brother did. I’ll get Mark back for that, brother or not, that’s my beta. I smile at Jasmine as she comes up, trying not to seem too angry.

Immediately Drew is gawking at her. I smile, as Jasmine can’t help but smile at him. At least there is a little reprieve from the depression of the day.

“You to have fun, I have to finish the preparations” I say somberly and walk off. They both go off talking as I walk off to the infirmary, where they preserved the bodies. But again, I’m interrupted on my way there. But this interruption was welcome. Nick sneaks up behind me and slides his arms around my waist, I stiffen for a second but relax when I feel the tingles and hear his voice whisper in my ear.

“Hey, can I steal you away for a second?” he asks, his voice husky in my ear, sending chills down my spine. I turn in his arms to face him and sigh.

“I really have to get this stuff done,” I say looking towards the medic center. He looks up and a flash of sorrow shoots through his eyes.

“I understand, but only for a second?” he asks, his eyes are literally pleading, and my wolf is begging me to say yes. I groan and agree. He drags me away into the woods; I’m confused to as where we are going.
