So meeting the two fans wasn’t as bad as Lyric had thought it would’ve been. The girls were real nice and weren’t interested in getting into Brian’s pants, like Lyric thought they would.

While Hannah and Brian talked guitars, Lyric and Jackie talked writing. And despite the sharp pain in Brian’s arm, he seemed to be happy while talking to Hannah.

And after pictures and autographs, Brian and Lyric were able to get Brian’s meds and get out of there before recognized again.

Lyric had dropped Brian off at his house and then went home, telling him that she had some cleaning to do. But flopping down on her couch, Lyric forgot all about cleaning and got hooked on watching Criminal Minds.

In all honesty, that show scared the shit out of Lyric, but she ended up watching a few episodes anyways as the night went by. So when the doorbell rang unexpectedly, she jumped out of her skin.

Paranoid, Lyric grabbed closest weapon near her, which was only the remote control, but she figured it was better than nothing, and cautiously walked to the front door.

Slowly opening the heavy door, she tensed, looking at the hooded figure standing in her doorway. Her heart skipped a beat as the man pushed her aside and stepped into her foyer.

Then man then took off his hood and removed his aviators. Lyric’s heart went back to it’s normal beat once she recognized the man.

“Matt! What are you doing? You scared me half to death!” She said, glad that it was Matt and not some crazy, psycho killer.

“I came here to tell you something, ” he said, looking around.

“And you decided to barge right in?” she asked not really caring that he did, just more on the curious side.

“I was cold from being out in the rain you being painfully slow at answering you door didn’t really help,” he told her, then giving her a strange look at the remote that she was still holding in a tight grasp. “What’s up with the remote?”

She felt her cheeks turn red. Embarrassed, she confessed. “I was watching a crime show and I was afraid that maybe some creep was outside my door.”

Matt made an “o” face before looking down at his feet, unsure of how else to respond.

“Anyways, why don’t you come in and sit down. Want anything to drink?” she questioned, switching to hostess mode, leading him into the living room where he sat down and easily made himself feel at home.

“Well after the news we might have to pop the champagne,” he joked, kicking his shoes off.

“And what might this news be?” The suspense was killing Lyric. She could keep secrets, she could write books, she could do a lot of things, but one thing she has just never been able to do was be patient.

“It’s pretty big news. And I figured since you’re the newest Avenged Sevenfold family member, I’d tell you first,” he said, trying to draw it out as long as he could, knowing exactly what it was doing to Lyric.

“I just got word from Larry, our manager, that Avenged Sevenfold is going on tour!” Matt announced, the excitement clear on his face. And under normal circumstances, Lyric would have been just as excited, if not more, but not after today’s events.

“Oh shit…” She half-whispered, trying to figure out, in her head, how Brian was supposed to play on tour with his arm broken.

“Don’t worry. You’re coming along!” Matt exclaimed. And he looked so happy that Lyric was surprised he hadn’t jumped out of hiss seat yet.

“It’s not that…” she told him, not quite sure how to tell him that Brian couldn’t play.

Matt just looked at her with a puzzled look on his face. She could almost see the wheels churning inside his head, trying to figure out what other kind of problem there could be.

            “Syn broke his arm…”
