I just want to apologize for not posting in so long. My stepdad passed away in mid-January and it took me a while to get back into things. So without further ado, here's chapter 29 (:

“Brian?” Lyric called, setting her shopping bags down onto the kitchen island along with her keys. Pinkly came running up to her, excited to see Lyric return home.

It was almost month since Lyric had said yes to moving in with Brian. The boys had helped her move in and everything was pretty much perfect.

“In the music room, babe!” he answered back.

When Lyric appeared in the doorway of the music room, Brian jumped up from his chair to welcome her home. Embracing her in a hug, he picked her up so her feet were off the ground and spun around. “I missed you,” he whispered into the crook of her neck.

She chucked not only at his breath that tickled her skin, but also at his words. “I’ve only been out for a few hours!” she exclaimed.

“Exactly! It was a long few hours without you,” he told her while grabbing ahold of her hands before kissing her. Bending down to pick up Pinkly, who had just walked into the room, Brian held Pinkly like a baby. “See, even Pink missed her mommy,” he cooed.

“You two are soo dramatic,” she laughed before kissing Brian on the cheek and disappearing back to the kitchen.

“Did you get me anything good?” He questioned, following Lyric.

“Well, no. But d’you know what I did get?” She asked, pausing to search through her bag. Pulling some colored papers from her bag, she laid them out on kitchen table. “I picked up some paint samples at the hardware store. I figured we could start looking at colors for the music room and the master bathroom. And I had a few ideas for the music room yesterday. I’ll talk to Zacky and maybe have a few sketches drawn up within the next few days.” Lyric rambled on, her eyes lighting up while she was talking.

Brian chuckled at her enthusiasm before closing the gap between them and kissing her. “Babe, slow down. I’m not going anywhere, the house isn’t going anywhere; we have all the time in the world to get the rooms done.”

Lyric smiled at him. “I know, but I just want everything to be done so we can relax and do fun things in our newly decorated rooms.”

“Ooh. Fun in our new bathroom?” he grinned mischievously. “I like the sound of that,” he winked.

“We’ve got a long time until our bathroom will be done,” she told him, and his smile dropped, but his face quickly lit up again.

“The spare bathroom is always open for business.” His adorable smile made Lyric’s heart swell.

“And thanks to your amazing stamina, I’m still sore from the other night,” she told him, boosting his ego.

Brian felt like Lyric worked on decoration plans day and night for the next week. She was sketching ideas while she ate, she sat by the poolside and worked on plans, she even woke up in the middle of the night to sketch.

Finally, one sunny Saturday morning, while Lyric was sunbathing out on the deck and still working on plans, Brian walked up behind her and picked up her sketchbook. “C’mon Lyr, you’ve been working nonstop on that! How about we go for a swim and invite the boys over for a barbeque later?”
